The three new tables really make this title shine. The previous version had a lot of good but was missing more modern tables due to having to include the dot matrix display. The display is included here (in the upper left hand corner)which really adds to the fun. The HD upgrade is also nice. The the three new tables No Good Gophers, Tales of The Arabian Nights, and Medevial Madness are endless fun. Since MM is the lead title in this edition it’s set to free play from the beginning. If you love pinball particularly the over the top kind you need to have this in your collection. Now that the power of the current gen consoles had shown I’m hoping to see future sequels perhaps one spotlighting Bally machines.
I played this so much that I wore it out. The disc wouldn’t even work after buffing it out. Some of these games are the same ones I played in high school, and the play on Xbox 360 is perfect. I played Gorgar once for six hours straight on one quarter, and finally walked away from the machine leaving a bunch of replays for someone else to enjoy, so believe me when I say that I’m familiar with the original games. Due to the price difference, I bought the Wii version after wearing out my Xbox 360 copy, and there is no comparison. The Xbox 360 version is far superior to the Wii version.
Best console pinball game I’ve ever come a crossed, like the additional tables added to 360 version that were not part of Wii version.
Love it! Cant stop playing. Made over 108,000,000 points on medieval madness. My family loves this game.
While we all know that video pinball can never be the same as the real thing, this product is the closest you will ever see, hands down! The digitized scans of the playfields are absolutely amazing – I’m not even sure how they did it. But by far the fact that makes this the most realistic video pinball game of all time is the ball physics. It is extremely accurate and I would say is about 80 to 90% reminiscent of the real thing. Another great thing is how many games are actually on this disc, with Medieval Madness being the crown jewel. Having played the real Medieval Madness for countless hours, I am amazed how ball mechanics are extremely similar to situations that happen on the real game. Buy this now! You won’t regret your purchase!!
I have enjoyed this game from the first day i bought it. I play this game probably more than any other game I play. It is so easy to pick up and play. I enjoy the atmosphere of the game as if you are actually in a pinball arcade room! If you even like pinball a little.. this game is well worth it!
Let’s face it, I bought this for Medieval Madness. I briefly flirted with a couple other tables, but this game would have been worth it even if the only table were Medieval Madness. Great game, very realistic, except more reliable and less likely to make me jump at the replay ‘POP’ than the real machine.
I was skeptical, but this game far exceeds what is required to be a good pinball game. The physics engine is great and the adjustable views are very good. Medieval Madness is worth the $30 price alone. The game replicates the arcade game, minus the maintenance issues. Medieval Madness is so good, I don’t really feel the need to play the other titles. Don’t get me wrong, the other tables available on this title are good too… and I find that I go to Tales of the Arabian Nights and No Good Gofers when I need a break from Medieval Madness. If you are the least bit of a pinball fan – buy this game. It’s a “no brainer.” That said, I have some recommendations for the programmers and producers for building upon this success.1. I would like to see the option to change the view from a horizontal HDTV setup to a vertical HDTV setup… while I think very few people would use the vertical setup, those who are passionate about pinball would make the effort to improve the experience. The people who buy this game likely older than the average video game buyer and likely have more disposable income.2. Pay per table: Each one of these games is valuable, and the manufactures are doing themselves a disservice by bundling them all together at this point. There should be a market on Xbox live or PS3 online to buy new individual tables as they are programmed. They should be priced according to value. Top games at $10 to $20, simpler classic titles at $5. I would pay $30 for Twilight Zone.
The xbox 360 version has the most tables.. The most detailed tables, and is fun to play by all ages.. If you can find a copy buy it! You will have hours and hours of fun playing this game.
