Powerful Processor

• Before launching, anticipation for the Xbox was high. Toys ‘R’ Us and Amazon reported that online preorders sold out within 30 minutes.
• A special event was held before the launch at the Toys ‘R’ Us store in Times Square. 1,000 systems were shipped to the store to kick off sales.
• Bill Gates was present at the event, personally selling the first system. He also played games with them at the numerous display units.
