RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
All products available for sale by Retro vGames, new or used, are covered by our 121 day free warranty. If you receive an item which you are unable to get functioning properly, or simply change your mind on the purchase, you may return it for an easy exchange or store credit within 121 days from the day it is delivered. Full refunds can be issued within 30 days for a defective/damaged item if insisted. However, we always request that you give us the opportunity to make things right in the event of a defective item. You will need your order number (starts with RV), the email address you used to complete the purchase and the reason for return.
The warranty period starts from the date of delivery of your final package. To be eligible for a return you must:
- Return the item in the same condition that it was received in
- Have the item shipped with all parts and its original packaging
- Follow all instructions provided to you by customer service.
Shipping Instructions and Costs
Please ship the product to the address we provide to you in our email and according to our instructions. It is imperative not to ship any return items without receiving approval as any products shipped without permission will not be accepted for return. You may not get items shipped before approval returned to you as the ship-from address on our packages is sometimes different from where they must be returned.
You are advised to ship your item with a trackable method, and you will be personally responsible for the return shipping costs. Depending on the reason for your return, we may be able to offer a prepaid shipping label. We do not reimburse shipping costs.
Extended 1-Year Warranty
An extended warranty is available for purchase at checkout for all items. This warranty extends the free 121-day Warranty by 365 days to provide coverage for 486 days past the receipt of the product! This period starts on the date of the last item delivered. Items returned under this Warranty must (1) be in the same physical condition that it was received in, (2) have a defect (ex. not booting games or powering on qualifies but it cannot be returned due to a change of mind), and (3) not be experiencing issues due to actions of the user. The same procedures outlined above apply. Additionally, you may be required to undergo troubleshooting before returning the item to Retro vGames and must not ship anything until receiving approval and instructions. Upon receipt and inspection of your item, your item will be repaired and returned to you or replaced with a new item.
We always prefer to assist our customers with troubleshooting or replacement items as a first step. However, you may also return your item for a refund. If your item arrives defective/damaged or you are dissatisfied with the condition of the item, you can return the item for a full refund. The refund policy is limited to 30 days, after 30 days the 121 day warranty will still apply. Once your return is received and processed, a credit will be applied to your original payment within 5-7 business days. Any money paid for expedited shipping or a product warranty is nonrefundable.
All issues related to receiving your refund after issuance has been confirmed should be directed to the financial institution you made the payment through.
Filing a credit card claim or any kind of external dispute before contacting us and following our instructions directly conflicts with this policy and justifies your return’s denial.
We do not accept returns of:
Products whose return/warranty period has lapsed: The clock starts upon delivery of the final package in your order.
Any product that has been altered and is not in its original condition.
Any product that has been damaged by you or has missing parts
Any products that were sold as a unit; unless the unit is returned complete
