Great
Good but no box like in pic
When I still had my Nintendo, this was one of the best games I had. The graphics–for the time–were excellent. Playing as Luke, you could ride your Tauntaun, fly in a snowspeeder or X-Wing, fight with Darth Vader, and so forth. Unlike the SNES version, there aren’t that many enemies, but the few they do have can be challenging. The large Wampas take a LONG time to kill off. Just about every action scene–involving Luke–from the movie can be re-enacted in the game. My favorite part was when I had to fight the AT-AT walkers. You start off with your snowspeeder and five or so harpoons. Typically what happens is that one uses the harpoons on the first few ATAT’s, then they have to take on the rest with just their lasers–again, very LONG and tedious. Usually you’ll get shot down at some point, which is where the most interesting part comes in–you can fight the ATAT’s on FOOT! You blast through the stormtroopers and jump into the background. It then shows you going up the rope connected to the ATAT’s belly, where you toss your grenade and blow them up. There are opportunities to jump into other snowspeeders, as well. There is no on-screen time limit, but if the ATAT’s get to a certain point, they blow up the generator–like in the movie. If nothing else, play this game just to fight the ATAT’s–it’s a classic video game moment. This is also probably the first NES game to use realistic voice. After receiving a power-up, Yoda will say "Use the Force." You won’t believe.
To relive the 5 Star Wars on the Gameboy.is really awesome.
This is so much fun! I’m so glad I bought this. I’m a huge Star Wars fan and I love collecting things. It didn’t come with a box, but I’m okay with that. I know with a box it would have cost more, lol.
This game is a port of the NES version of the game. If you have played Super Empire Strikes Back on the SNES, then you probably would find this game a little lacking in the graphics and gameplay department. Overall, a good little gem. Pick it up if you are a Star Wars fan.
