Nintendo DS- Fun Facts
- All Nintendo DS models combined have sold 154.02 million units, making it the best-selling handheld game console to date, and the second best-selling video game console of all time behind Sony’s PlayStation 2 with 155 million.
- The Nintendo DS had a lot of name changes in its development, almost being called Iris after the Japanese flower, Nitro based on the abbreviation NTR of Nintendo’s hardware and City Boy, thinking that it would appeal more to young adults.
- The name of the console came to be Nintendo DS due to 2 meanings: Developer System and Double Screen.
I have a DS and my favorite thing to do is play multi player. Although they have newer and upgraded Nintendo systems, thisis a good starter for younger kids. Santa brought mine 4 years ago and it still works great and i play all the time. I recommend you also buy a case just in case you drop it. Buying a case will surley make your DS stay in good condition a lot longer. I love that there are so many different games for you to buy.
It works, it’s real, came with a charger which normally they do not
For retro kids who like pixels and video game history and pokemon, this refurbished Nintendo DS was a real bargain. It is in perfect condition and works beautifully – DS games don’t always work well with 3DS and my 9-year-0ld grandson thinks games his mother played in her teens are still cool. So this was the perfect gift for the bargain DS games he has been collecting.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
This item came quickly and was in perfect condition.. it was as new in the box with the exception of the owner’s manual which can be printed or accessed on line.
Bought a used one from BarelyUsedThings.- Zero scratches on the bottom screen. Some light scratches on top screen (only noticeable when powered off and reflected at an angle)- All buttons responsive.- Hinge is not loose.- A couple scratches on outer top shell. Some wear on the underside.- Zero scratches on interior.- Came with a purple stylus.
The ds was in excellent condition! Glad the hinges for the screen weren’t broken which is a common issue with the ds lite and the only thing I was worried about. Arrived a little dirty but nothing a wet wipe couldn’t clean :) Would definetly reccomend and would purchase again if i ever needed another ds! :)
We received this very quickly in great condition with an excellent case for protection. My son has played it several hours many days a week for over a month now and we are very impressed. Great battery life and graphics. Highly recommended.
It came to me very quickly and in good condition. If you love Nintendo and want something cheap, then this is a must have. :D
I got my DS second hand because no one had them in the stores. I got it from Game stop (which is awesome)the stylus has a good fit and unlike the original DS doesn’t fall out. the size of the game is perfect for travel storage but can get lost easily however i personally like them because they fit perfectly into a pocket or wallet. unfortunately GBA games stick out like 1/4 of an in. I love the shininess <3 but it smudges easily but who cares? you can just get a case! ^_^ Graphics: i have this weird thing with graphics…i only like good graphics if i’m gonna play a lot however the Pokemon games which are some of my favorites have some bad graphics. Zelda: phantom hourglass has awesome graphics but doesn’t compare to the PSP. I am a Nintendo only person (sony is trying to take over our minds) so this is by far my favorite, addictive, awesomest hand held electronic.
