I am not even a NASCAR fan, but more of a casual observer. This game rocks! I use a steering wheel controller and it is challenging as well as thrilling. You can really get lost in the game. Wicked effects, awesome graphics, really detailed tracks and cars. Again, I love it. Unfortunately for the game, I EXPECT this level of excellence from EA as I have purchased their products from the days of the Commodore 64; they have always been head and shoulders above the rest…
Item arrived quickly and as advertised
I have to disagree with robert’s review. I think that it was a great idea for EA to finally come out with a realistic racing game.After all Nascar drivers don’t start out in the nextel cup.I think’s it’s nice that there’s more divisions to choose from. Although I haven’t played the game yet, I’m going to be one of the first persons to buy it.
Not the greatest NASCAR game no. But the graphics where much improved over the previous games BUT the game play, not so much. Still it’s a descent game, first NASCAR game to let you race Modifieds, Trucks, Busch, and Cup.
Nascar 2005 is defentily better than the 2 previous versions. While a common belief is that you have to start out in the featherlite division that is untrue. That only is true for the Flight to the top mode. In Season Mode you can actually choose the series you want. Also you can do just the chase races and actually PICK which drivers you want in the chase. I give it 5 out 5!
This game is one of the best games because of the new features such as 3 new series. The trucks are probably the best of all.The new rides are really cool such as sports cars and passenger cars. The fantasy drivers aren’t that good and the numbers are mostly in the 100’s. The fantasy tracks aren’t the best either. They should have included Nashville, Memphis, and even Kentucky. The”Skill Points” are very bad as well. Most of the time drivers hit you and cause wrecks, which causes you to lose points, which can be frustrating too. Overall, the game is really good if you are a huge NASCAR fan.
I must say I was a tiny bit dissapointed with Nascar Thunder 2004, but EA Sports did a fantastic job on this one If your a big nascar fan I say go for it and even if your not a nascar for you will still enjoy this game. The overall graphics while your racing could be a little better and when your at a stop the track sometimes looks like its moving and they could have detailed the craftsman trucks a little more because their no distinction between chevy, dodge and for. Even with those minor flaws it is still a great game. Flight to the top mode is awsome. It really feels like working your way to the ultamit victory lane. I give it a huge thumbs up!
Exactly as described
Had the game for almost 10 years before it quit Playing found this one brand new online . In my opinon and this is coming from someone who has played every NASCAR game there is since 1998 this is the best NASCAR game ever made period
I can’t say it is good, but not bad. It is because it is quite tough.
