This is a fun game, pure and simple. I had a hard time putting it down. However, it does have some shortcomings. This can easily be compared to Super Smash Brothers in that the controls are very simplistic. Once you know how to control one character, you can control them all. For those who like the easy fighters like Smash Bros, this is ideal. But this may easily turn off the tournament fighter purists who are used to every character being completely different. The game can play very cheaply. You could be wiping the floors with your opponent. You could have him on the ropes for the entire match, but with a few well-placed background objects being thrown at you, you’ve lost. This can be very frustrating, especially in story mode.Story mode can be frustrating at points, but it’s the kind of game where if you have any persistence at all, eventually you *will* win. There’s not much to do once you do win the story mode and have unlocked everything. It’s verses mode from there on out, which really kills replay value. The new characters, the imperfects, are all well and good. They’re a bit too powerful compared to the normal Marvel characters. But once unlocked they can still be a kick to play as. But in any case, they could have easily been dropped in order to include more of the Marvel favorites. For a Teen rated game, this is rather edgy. Sure there’s no blood or gore. But not having blood doesn’t mean that some finishing moves aren’t severe. Wolverine slashes mercilessly at a prone.
Arrived a few days sooner. Great condition and no issues. Happy to have a nostalgic game added to my collection.
Its a pretty fun game, the graphics are good, the characters are simple, and the fighting arena is almost all destructible; in multiplayer mode. The only flaws are the fact that in single player mode the levels are really easy to beat, and that the characters have almost all the same moves, so there’s no surprises. But overall it’s a pretty fun game.
The kids love this game!!! They do get a little short tempered with each other when they play it, so I don’t like it very much.
this game is fun! the only thing I don’t like about it is some of the characters say the H or A word but other than that I really like it :)
marvel nemesis rise of the imperfects is the greatest game in the world a true classic the best of the best buy this game if your a huge marvel fan you wont be sorry
And now I review a game that is so underrated it isn’t even funny. Marvel Nemesis is one of the few games to really capture those Superhero battles we see in the movies and comics. It’s a great game, if you’re willing to grapple with some steep difficulty, but we’ll get into that. The story for the game is that some majorly powerful evil beings called the Imperfects have moved in and are attacking everyone wholesale, with the intent of wiping everyone out. Heck, the first cutscene shows Captain America, Hulk, and The Punisher being killed off. Thus a small crew of Heroes and villains must team up, defeat the Imperfects, and save the world. It’s one of those good and evil form a temporary truce to take down the bigger evil kinda stories, but it works.Gameplay wise, Nemesis is an arena fighting game where players can pick from heroes, (Such The Thing, Wolverine, Spiderman, and Iron man to mention just a few) Villains, (Such as Venom and Magneto) and the deadly imperfects, (such as The Wink, Johnny Ohm, and Fault Zone) and beat the crap out of each other in small, but totally destructible, environments. There is also a story mode where players complete objectives such as make it to the end, destroy these objects in this amount of time, or simply win this fight, to advance the story, unlock new characters, arenas, and more, and save the world. One thing to note about this game is that it’s HARD! This game will not take it easy on anyone, so expect to see that "Vanquish.
The game is awesome according to my grandkids. I’m not a video game player but bought it for them to play when they visit. So their opinion of my purchase and its entertainment value is all I need to declare it to be “awesome”.Grandpa Bob
