This is my childhood game that I’ve been looking for since mines was taken. Awesome game.
It’s fun! All the girl’s are cool! My friend says my personality is Ann! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE PLAYING THIS GAME!But…. I borrowed it and i couldn’t give it back because i liked it soooooooooooooo MUCH! I am looking ALL Over for it!Well I hope you get it! cause it’s soooooooo much FUN! ^_^ *~*A harvest moon girl*~*
ok, its farming, big and exciting, right?? thats what i thought when i played the SNES version. Well it is, trust me. Ohh and 5 out of 6 people i showed it to loved it. The reason, you control your life, make the decisions, and interact with the other people around the village. Ive played the game three times, and havent found everything special about the game.
When I was out searching for a good video game to buy, I came across this one, a new release at the time. The title caught my attention. Immediatly I thought, "Hey, an alien game!" I checked it out, but when I saw that it was a farming game, well, I just didn’t think I could live with that. I mean, come on, a farming game?!?!? What would you do in that? Sit around on a horse and watch the ol’ beauty of a sunrise? That didn’t really interest me, so I decided to just let it go and never even think of buying the game. To make a longish story shorter, I ended up getting interested in the game and bought it. It is actually very interesting and fun. I can’t stop playing it. You have to farm and mine and build bridges to make money, you have to try and woo a girl, of which there are five elegible wives, and make a lot of friends, plus have tons of fun in the festivals and everything else. (But especially the Festivals, like the egg-hunting festiaval. Yeah!!) So get up and buy this ol’ game, and have a piece of sleeper game history!
I just got my harvest moon game yesterday and it is SWEET!best game.I just love all the stuff I can do.when you first start the game, you are in your grandfather’s field. You can get married to 6 girls (you pick).you can plant vegetables, take your cow and dog to races, and you win stuff. It’s the best game I ever played!!!
Ever wanted to get away from those high-paced, action-filled, bloody games? Have you wanted to just create a duel life where you have a nice little family? Harvest Moon 64 does this by combining the elements of farming and dating, to bring you one of the most spectacular simulation video games ever.Story 9/10: As the game starts out, you learn that your grandfather has passed away, and you have inherited his farm. Each day you go outside and tend to your farm. (Pulling weeds, planting stuff, etc.) Along the way you can participate in fun town activities/festivals, and if you get bored you can go to the bar, take a shower, or tend to your animals! You also have 5 girls to choose to date/marry (Ann, Elli, Karen, Maria, and Popuri.Gameplay 10/10- Probably the best simulation/RPG on the N64. Anyone can love this game, even if they hate farming. The difficulty can also range, depending on whether or not you want to get EVERYTHING in the game. You could choose to work your tail off everyday, or just lay back and enjoy life.Sound 8/10- The tunes are pretty good, and they each fit they’re season/location. However, after a while the music can get a little repetitive.Graphics 8/10- The Graphics aren’t that great, but they are very good compared to the previous Harvest Moon games. The characters aren’t too blocky and the scenery/landscape is pretty good as well. This is the first 3D game in the series.Replay 10/10- You won’t want to put this game down for a LONG time. Even after you bea.
Most of the other reviewers started to say "Takes the chores out of farming", and "A very relaxing game,". These statements are not very true at all. For one thing, you need to plan. You need to plan your daily schedule, your social life, and your farm. And dont forget that time goes by quickly in this game ( twelve real time seconds equal one hour, as compaired to Harvest Moon GBC which has fifteen real time seconds equals one hour, and in Harvest Moon 2 GBC every thirty real seconds equals one hour.) I can only hope that Harvest Moon 3 GBC is one minute= 1 hour.Dont get me wrong, I like this version the best. They made it simpler than the versions before it, and made it more about social life. The only bad thing is, that there is a festival every 3 days (not realy, im exagerating) and hardly any time to work.
In fact, extremely overpriced. I saw a few copies this game at a vintage video game store the other day for $20. I understand it’s an amazing game, but to paying $50+ for something that came out nearly twenty years ago? That’s a little much. I mean, you can buy new games for that price tag. It’s ridiculous. However, do I adore the game itself. I used to play it when I was a kid.. and I still play it. It’s that good. If you’re willing to pay the price, go ahead and order. You won’t regret it.
Harvest Moon 64…the best game ever! I have had the game for about 4 years now and I still play it.The reason you can’t stop playing is because you just never know when something might happen, like someone might come over and ask you for help and it may be a good paying job. Also, you just keep playing trying to raise money to build additions onto your home. When your cattle is pregnant, you try to get through every day to get to the day of the birth (pretty exciting).I have put many hours into this game and I don’t play a lot of video games, but this one….i just can’t see not playing! Every HM fan must have this game..and even if you have played none of them, try it! You will love this game and its cool story line.
The story is simple. Your grandpa dies and you get his run down ranch that you visited in your childhood. You farm and raise live stock. There are five woman in the the town that you can ‘woo’. If you marry one of the women you may have a kid. There is no real objective to the game. Your dad comes to visit you in the 3rd year your there to check up on you. The best upgrade from the SNES version of this game is that you can continue after your dad visits you.
