Ghosts ‘N Goblins is a classic sideways scrolling action game where you’re playing a heroic knight out to destroy the evil creatures of the land. The beautiful princess is kidnapped. Her lover, the Knight in shining armor, armed with five different weapons to fight the enemy, sets out to rescue the beautiful princess. The Knight, aided by your skill, must pass through seven different guarded gates, fighting and destroying demons, dragons, giants and zombies.

I’m new to retro gaming and I’m one of the only 12 year old kids who find it cool I recently bought a retron 2 and only have two games for it super Mario world and legend of Zelda 2 and my cousin who adores retro gaming said I should get this and i just ordered it I also can’t wait till it comes because I wanna see how hard it actually is but I heard it would kick my ass

Ghosts N Goblins is a really hard, but also a really fun 1986 platform game made by Capcom. In the game, you play a knight who must go into Hades to save a princess from The Devil.The game has a ”Level Select” cheat which is VERY useful, and brings you to any level you want. You can even use this cheat to go straight to the final boss, defeat him, and save the princess.All in all, very fun action game. It’s perfect for Halloween, and I highly recommend it.

Ok so I bought this game thinking. “A lot of people say this is the hardest game ever made right? Well CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.”Ok so its 2 months later and I still haven’t beat the whole game. I say whole game because in order to beat the game you have to beat it twice. Didn’t know that when I first beat it. I had just kicked Satan’s giant red #@$ when… uh oh… it was not actually the real boss. Everything you had just done was just an illusion. (Which makes no real sense anyway cause I died like a million times.) So it turns out I have to beat the whole game AGAIN in order to truly beat it.When I saw the text on the screen that told me this, I stared at it for like 15min not believing my eyes and then I reached down. Turned off my system, and weeped for humanity.I hate this game… I hate it with all my heart. But for some reason I keep coming back to it. I don’t know what the developers put in it but it is addicting.So if you want a game that will keep you up at night. If you want a game that you will yell. “I WILL BEAT YOU.” and then weep when you can’t. If you want a game that you will curse with all your heart and swear that if you ever meet the #$% hole who suggested that you have to beat it twice to truly beat it you will kill him. If you want a game that you will swear that you will never play again, but you do.Well…. this is the game for you.

This game really lives up to its hype of being one of the hardest (and therefore most satisfying to beat) games for the NES.

Really fun with all the sensless zombie killing but DEAR GOD is it hard! This game is harder than Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, and Classic Megaman rolled into one. The thing that makes it so hard is that you can only take 2 hits before you die, and extra armor power ups are rare. I myself just barely beat it, and that’s on the 3DS’s virtual console, WITH restore points! Level 6 is a nightmare. But after you’ve cleared the path to the bosses, MAKE SURE YOU GET THE SHIELD OR YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLAY LEVELS 5 AND 6! Over all, a fun game, and it is certainly challenging. The only thing i find disappointing about the game is that the ending is horrible. Once you beat it the first time, the game tells you that the entire game you played was just an illusion created by Satan and you have to go through it again. The second time, it basically says "Since you’re tough enough to beat the game twice, beat it again!" and sends you back to the start, AGAIN. But i chalk this up to this being a port from an arcade game. It’s relentlessly hard, but you get unlimited continues.
