That game is weird. Flying space fish? That is why I purchased the game. This game is fun and has a two player option. The game is hard, after the first level you are left with one life and you still need to complete the whole game.
Originally released in the US in 1991, this is still a fun game to play 27 years later! The music is subtle but effective chiptune: it adds to the various levels without being annoying. The parallax scrolling, backgrounds, and character design are compelling, well-rendered, and stand out with a lively aquatic theme. However, what I like most about this game are the 2-player simultaneous, co-operative play and ZERO slow down. I am playing this on the original SNES hardware I owned as a kid and having a great time with all my kids (less than 12 yo), who are playing together. Also, despite being a first gen SNES game, there is virtually NO slow down that plagued similar shooting games whenever multiple enemies or bullets appear on screen. A fun game and bargain to boot. Definitely worth the purchase.
Too much Fun! Excellent side scrolling shoot em up- you will not be disappointed if your into this style game
Looked good…worked great
soon as this came in i popped this sucker in and it played so well and didnt have any problems with it at all im very pleased.
Super schnelle Blitzlieferung, Hammer wie schnell das ging :) danke super erhalten. Das Spiel an sich ist ja Geschmackssache mir gefällt hält diese Art Spiel.
this was one of the first snes games i played growing up.the music is top-notch,the graphics are good and it’s fun!
Darius Twin is a very different game from many out there. With the ships all being shaped like fish or other sea animals, you will find this game to be a Space game meets Fishermans Nightmare! lol. If you don’t like space games, you may still like the soundtrack if you like space-like music. They perfected Space music here. Saddly due to it being too Simple to win, I had to drop it to 4 stars, but if you have to have good music with your games like me, Call it a 5! Here’s my review of the Game: Story – The only thing about this Game which may bore many. It’s another story about a evil empire vs. a good empire. You are of coarse the only chance the good side has left, but you have heard that before. ..70% (but since this is a space game like this one, I wont count it)Graphics – This game is decent in the department, but is no Gradius 3. I however enjoy how things come together. It’s pretty easy to see your ship and enemy ships and bullets. Only in the last level do I have a complaint, since the stars in the background are moving so fast, it’s easy to get lost on bullets and such. ..90%Controls- As good as a SNES gets, during the early 90’s. ..95% Difficuty- Well most levels are very easy, but the last level is pretty hard to beat. Don’t play the game exspecting it to be a hard game, cause it’s not. ..85%Sound- The music on here is one of the biggest factors in the interest of it. The Soundtrack is surprisingly good for a game of this time frame, and very much fits the game. ..
Awesome!!!! Would buy from again 100%
This is an incredibly awesome shooter. Everything from the enemy design to the music is incredible. In typical shooter fashion you go from level to level blasting enemies and finally fighting an end level boss. What makes the game unique are its aquatic themed bosses. There is something so awesome about fighting a giant mechanical whale with guns all over its body.If you love shooters then you’ll definitely love this game.
