Many months have passed since the events of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Link, Tetra and Tetra’s band of pirates have set sail in search of new lands. When a mysterious fog waylays their band of pirates and leaves Link alone on a strange island, an all-new adventure begins! On this island, he meets an array of fascinating characters, hunts for powerful weapons and collects sand for a mysterious artifact called the Phantom Hourglass. Over time, it will enable him to progress deeper and deeper into the ultimate dungeon. Phantom Hourglass wraps the standard Zelda formula in an innovative and fun control scheme that gives new life to several of the series’ age-old concepts.

I love zelda games, and at first going into this one, it looked a bit on the childish side. I was wrong about that. It’s one of those games that kids can enjoy but also extremely entertaining for adults as well. Even though it was on a handheld gaming device, I still put in 30+ hours to beat it.
This game is a really nice addition to the Zelda collection. Technically, it implements the DS touchpad as it should be. It’s a bit hard to get used to at first, but when you get used to it, it becomes easier. The rest of the features and buttons are also used in a very subtle yet well-done way. In short, it takes advantage of what the DS itself has to offer and it’s really only a few games do this to this extent.As for gameplay, it’s a very interesting and good continuation to the Windwaker. It’s just the right length for a game meant to be portable and is also fun and entertaining. It brings back memories of older games if you have played them and at the same time it’s new. Some characters are a bit ugly at times, but it’s all forgiven as you play.The game also includes a very good multiplayer option. It gives you many different options to connect. DS-DS, with friends, over WiFi, etc. and then you also get to choose if you want to play with rivals, friends, or just about anyone. As you play you get scores and you can even get small rewards that appear in-game. It works beautifully and is also very stable.If you like the Zelda series and adventure games, this would be something worth trying out.
Phenomenal game, quiet a joy for anyone to play, I got this to go with my original DS and have enjoyed playing through the game multiple times. A decent entry into the Zelda series this game has plenty of puzzles to solve and ship combinations as well. The soundtrack is good with it being mostly upbeat/adventurous. The plot of the game is good with only a few holes really, but overall the gameplay is simple and there are plenty of walk through if you get stuck. Overall a fun game to play when you have free time.
This is a great game and a great installment to the Zelda series.The only issue with it is the controls. While all other Zelda games utilize the buttons and d-pad to control Link, this one uses the stylus and touch pad. It takes some getting use to when controlling Link this way but it opens up some great and inventive puzzle solving and the fact you can now draw the pathOf your boomerang and make it fly around corners or fly around the room six times like a tornado of ass-whooping.If you love Zelda and Windwaker ( this is a sequel to it) then you will enjoy this game. Just keep and open mind about the controls at first and soon they will be second nature.
Got here soon with USPS-won’t open it as gave away original game that came with Zelda godl edition DSlite console and wanted replacement to keep with it.Never Zelda player but gold edition was such deal when 1st came out.I am more into Professor layton games, mind twsieters. This is an excellent game for all Zelda fans out there and i love how it has the same graphics and (some) characters from the Wind Waker. I absolutly love everything about this game, with one small complaint. The movement gets a bit tyring on your hand and i would have rathered they made it movement with the arrow keys instead of the stylus. Overall, though, it is a spectacular game and i HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the shop “Tech Supply Center”. They did an amazing job, it shipped amazingly quickly (about an hour after i ordered) and got to my house a mere 2 days after ordering. Great shop, and great game overall i am a happy costumer! Excellent job!
I love all the Zelda games and have all but the Gameboy ones! I have started my granson on them and he loves them too! The First was & always will be the best in my book as it started the adventure! Set the stage for all to follow!A Damzel in distress, a kingdom to save, a bad evil wanna be to distroy! A treasure hunt and puzzles to solve! Who could ask for more?

This was the first Nintendo DS game I purchased and it was a great introduction to the Nintendo DS system. It takes advantage of many of the DS’s features and implements them in thought provoking ways. Phantom Hourglass is also a direct sequel to Windwaker. It helps if you played Windwaker, but it’s not actually necessary to understand the new story. Any Zelda fan will appreciate this installment.
