I wanted buy this game 6 months ago, but I didn’t buy based on the bad reviews some people gave to this game, suddenly some people start to give goods reviews about this game so two weeks ago I had some extra money and I decided to buy RE The Mercenaries for my 3DS, I start to play the game and I played over and over for about 2 hours, after that I realise that the bad reviews about this game has no use. It’s true U had only one save slot and U can’t esase it, but who cares … I mean the porpose in the Mercenaries’s game is to kill many sombies as possible in a limit of time, not advance in a story or solver puzzle (in RE Revelations should be) …. so I thik that the “erase issue” is not a big deal. This game is amazing and addictive, the graphics are very good the sound keeps U you in suspense and the most important is very funny, the multipalyer option is one of the best in this game .But this game is not perffect, had its fails but are not a big deal in may oppinion, this game like every game ins the market had good and bad thigs, in my oppinion are this:Goods:* Good graphis, the scenario design are very pretty and realistic, the character graphics is good too* The 3D effect is well done in this game* The sound effect are very good and makes the experience more realistic in every mission* You had varius RE character to select for (but not Leon, for me it dont care since my favorite character are Jill and Claire)* You can choose between 4 controls schema* The multipla.
Let me start by saying that this game has no story line. It’s pretty much an arcade style game where you have to survive and take out as many enemies as you can under a time limit. You have to get a good score to move on to the next level and to also unlock new skill upgrades and characters. With that said, I agree with most reviewers about the save feature, but the game itself is actually pretty cool. If you’ve played Resident Evil 5 or strictly the mercenaries mode, you will get the hang of the controls rather quickly (you can now strafe while aiming). However, if you haven’t picked up a Resident Evil game in a while, it’ll get some getting used to. Once you get the hang of it though, it gets really fun. This game looks real sweet on the 3DS. Previous DS owners will be extremely pleased with the game graphics (this just comes to show that the 3DS isn’t just a regular DS with an added 3D feature). Game does have some minor frame issues and it’s most noticeable when enemies are far out in the background. Enemy AI can sometimes act dumb. For example, sometimes I’ll be standing right beside an enemy and he won’t notice me until I begin pumping lead into him. Don’t worry though, 99.9% of the time you’ll be getting chased aggressively by large groups of axe-wielding psychos. As for the save feature dilemma, you can complete the game and still go back and replay missions with any unlocked character. It’s not like the game goes on unplayable lock-down mode where you can’t play it a.
Great game if you like playing mercenary mode. Co-Op mode is awesome with friends, and it never gets boring!
So what it only has one save….I felt this game felt like a standup arcade machine game of old and you dont get a save with those either. You play for the score and for love/fun of playing the game. The one save ensures you have a constant goal of always attempting to beat it. In the end isnt what we all tried for on those old arcade machines to be top score. Great graphics great fun for only my second 3ds game purchase (first being zelda).DONT GIVE IN TO THE HATE, That leads to the dark side. Instead take out ur frustrations if you have any on this fun game taking out as many zombies or whatever as you can.
It’s true that you can’t erase your save, but this doesn’t affect anything. Anyone will say that it’s arcade-style gameplay, and you can’t erase saves in an arcade. If you’re anyone other than the first person to play the game, it is your role to beat the score of the person before you. Anyone who buys this game used will be just fine, and their goal will be to beat the scores of the person who played before them.So what if you can’t erase your save? It’s not going to affect anyone’s experience with the game. It’s exactly what it’s supposed to be. Honestly the price may be a little high for a short game, but like many of Capcom’s games, it’s built for replayability, and replay you will.
I love RE: Mercenaries since the first Mercenaries come out in RE 4. What is up with the negative reviews? This game is fun and a bit frustrating. This game started in RE 4. RE: Mercenaries rules are simple; you chose a character and you fight monsters. The more monsters you kill, the more monsters will attack even bigger, stronger, scary, and badass monsters will also attack you. You have to more collect points in time limit before it runs out. If you collect more points and stars, you will get unlockables. If you want to kill an endless monsters, this game is a recommended. If you are an true fan of RE, you can buy this game if you want to and do not listen to the negative reviews.
Got for a friend and they love it
Multiplayer is a blast!!! A must want titleðŸ‘
for anyone who is a faithful follower of the Resident Evil series, here’s how to follow Root in that world …. very good game.
If you’re looking at these reviews, you should keep in mind that 99% of the “reviewers” haven’t even played the game. They’re just gritching because they perceive the fact that the game has a single save slot (nonalterable) as some kind of personal assault or attempt to limit used game sales. This is basically an arcade shooter, in which your goals are both mission-based and top-score. For instance, in each level within each world, you have a mission to complete. If you complete the mission at all within the required time frame, then you have completed the level and can move on to the next. However, the speed at which you complete the level affects your overall score on the level, so there’s a lot of room for replay, trying to beat your own top score. If someone else has played the game before you, some levels may already been unlocked, but you can still go back and play through them and beat their scores as well as go back to beat your own top scores. In other words, unless you really feel the need to unlock every level and item on your own, the fact that the game has been played previously will have no real affect on you or on the gameplay. It’s basically just a technical laziness that Capcom chose to ignore. As an arcade-style shooter, this game is frankly somewhat limited in scope, I’ll admit. There isn’t a real story, there’s no character development, etc. It’s just an entire game devoted to timed score-attack mode, shooting zombie after zombie for the top score.
