Love love love this game :) so thrilling and mysterious, I recommend it if you love horror mysteries and such.
This is a great game, there is not a dull moment, it has a lot of fun. I looked and the box and thought only 5 cases, but after i started those cases were long, i am on my 3rd case so far. It is fun and you actually learn a little about courtrooms. It almost makes me want to be an attorney!
Once in a while, a Japanese game gets translated, takes the scene by storm, and makes people wonder why it didn’t happen earlier. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney has the potential to become such a game. Originally released only in Japan, “Gyakuten Saiban” (loosely translated as “reversal judgment”) is a popular legal simulation game for the GBA that gives you a chance to become a defense attorney. The series has already spanned three instalments, with one more being slated for release for the Nintendo DS next year. Before that happens, however, Capcom released “Gyakuten Saiban: Yomigaeru Gyakuten” in September to pave the title’s transition from the GBA to the DS. The game included a fully translated English version, which is eventually released in the US as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (PWAA) recently. So, what really is PWAA? Well, it’s basically a point-and-click adventure game that is set in a legal background. As rookie lawyer Phoenix Wright, you’ll take on five cases in this game, which includes four from the first Gyakuten Saiban game, as well as a brand new case that was created with the features of the DS In mind. The game takes place primarily in two platforms – investigation and court proceedings. In the earlier scenario, you go from place to place, talking to people and examining crime scenes to gather evidence that may be important in proving your client’s innocence. Although the investigation process could be tedious at times, it’s never dull since the game throws up.
I love playing this game and I would easily recommend it to all fans who love Capcom and the Phoenix Wright games.
Yes! This whole series is awesome!
I bought this game because I heard that the Ace Attorney series are some of the best games on the DS, so I thought that I might as well try this game out. After I bought it, I thought that I would play half hour of it or so, to see what the games about, I played the first case, and I got hooked, now Phoenix Wright is one of my favorite series.Story: You are a rookie defense Attorney, Phoenix Wright, as you go through 5 different murder cases, and that is it in a nutshell, there is more to than that, but I just wanted to say the basic premise, but I will say that this game has good/funny characters, and writing.Graphics:This game is a port of a Japanese GBA game, so the graphics aren’t as good as they could be, but they are still good, and the character animation are also pretty good.Sound: The music for this game is really good/ epic,it is very catchy and memorable, and it also fits very well. The game doesn’t really have voice acting, it just has a few voice clips, for the famous Objection, and hold it, but with those voice clips you have an idea of what the characters sound like.GamePlay:This game is a visual novel, so there is a lot reading(People who don’t like reading, wont like this game). you have three days to prove your client innocent. The first part of the case is the investigation, in this part you are in first person looking for clues for your trial, this part is a point and click section, to be honest this section is good, but a little boring compared to the tria.
The game is great for those who like solving puzzles. Like reading a novel, but just more interactive, i really like the humor involved in the characters.Greetings from Mexico.
A point and click mystery game doubled with court room drama. It’s wonderful, from the stories to the characters and the puns with the names. Everything just works so well. I enjoy it so well in fact that i bought the second installation the day after I got this one in. because i had already beaten more than half of it
I must admit, I have heard about the Ace Attorney series for years, but never played one until now. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been intrigued by what I heard, which was mainly a lot of praise. I just beat this game last night, for the first time. Now I understand why this series is so memorable and beloved to gamers from all walks of life. This game is amazing. You play as novice defense attorney Phoenix Wright, a very sharp, innerly sarcastic, young man with a big heart just beginning his career in law. He constantly goes through crisis as he teeters precariously between crushing, career/life-ending defeat and stunning victory (usually more along the former). The story in this game is easily a 10/10 for me. There are five cases in this particular version of the game, four originally, one bonus for this DS version, each self contained with an overall arch that amazingly connects together over the course of the game. It is sheer brilliance in electronic form. The cases are incredibly written, full of fantastic plot-twists and curve balls that will keep you guessing who did it until the very end of the case. The pacing is exceptional too. The feeling of having all the odds stacked against you is palatable almost constantly, and the feeling you get when you, by some miracle, absolutely destroy those odds is exhilarating. A true testament to the developer’s capabilities, to craft such a thing.Along the way, you’re introduced to a truly colorful cast for a kangaroo court, and.
This game. Just.. This game.
