While the latest PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Midnight Club have gotten the most attention, this LA Remix version will please PSP fans looking for some hot, wild racing on the go.This version in fact adds a second city, Tokyo, which you unlock in career mode after mastering LA.LA Remix also has ad-hoc wireless racing for up to four players. In short, at $40, this version of MC probably gives you the most bang for your buck. And did I mention how good the game looks on the PSP’s bright little screen? Beautiful — and the cars handle wonderfully as well. What cars are here? Tuners including a Pontiac Solstice and Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged. Muscle cars past and present, like a ’69 Mustang Boss 302, a ’70 General Lee, and the new Camaro. Plus exotics like the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster, the Ford GT and Shelby Cobra, a brace of Lambos, and a Saleen S7. No Ferraris or Bugattis, unfortunately…There are shortcuts and multiple routes… cop chases and interference… wild power-ups and air time… and your car takes damage — too much, and the race is over! The long and short is — there’s tons of fun for PSP fans here. Highly recommended!
The first midnight club that i bought was Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition. I thought the game was way better than other racing games because it had a city to race through that was realistic , and let’s face it, it is funny as hell crashing over curbs and flipping end over end down the streets of a real city. The upgrades to the engine, the cool neons and other exterior adjustments, and the collection of cool cars you can get over time were also great parts to the game. The new game has one less city, but the colors are more vibrant, and i think the animation quality has gotten better too. Anyways a great second game. I was waiting for this to come out, and it was as cool as i thought it would be.
Nice racing game!
i like to play this games in my PSP 2 that is protable game at any time any where its really good
my older son used to have GTA for the psp and i didnt want my younger son playing that game so i got rid of it and replaced it with this one. the kids love this game and take turns to play.
I have had this game now for like a month and half and i really enjoy it. It is similar to the first midnight club but it has a lot of newer cars. One thing though is that it’s a little more challenging than other games, what i mean is that i’m not even halfway done and it’s hard to pass the races. But this just makes it more challenging and wouldn’t say it’s bad thing. Overall, I would recommend this product. It has the same flavor than the original midnight club only with better cars and a new city.
As expected.
My very first time playing midnight club was during Midnight Club 2. Then I purchased midnight Club 1 after I thought of wanting to play the original. Then after midnight Club 1 and 2 I went over to midnight club 3 Dub edition, and it was the best game I had played on PS2. Then playing Midnight Club Los Angeles on PS3 was another step up. Good graphics, a lot of cars, and good audio. Never actually finished the game because there wasn’t enough time to play as I got older. But having a PS4 now and no desire to buy another console for my living room, I decided to get a PS Vita so I could play some digital games, and midnight club l.a remix was one game on my list. The graphics on the game itself aren’t anything special, but gameplay is still good. Obviously nowhere near what the PS3 version was, but what can be expected from a handheld title? The verdict on this title is simple, it’s a game, and it’s playable and still enjoyable on the small scale.
It’s a great game, obviously it’s not exactly like the console version. Smh. I remember playing it years ago, but had recently bought it for myself. It’s great overall.
I rented this to see if it was worthy of buying. I liked the long list of cars to choose from in MC:Dub Edition for the PSP. But the gameplay wasn’t all there. The framerate didn’t flow as well as I would like it. I would rather have better driving than large driving environments because after all, that is where the fun is in these types of games. That’s why I think this game tops because the driving is so fluid and you can see a mark difference between both games. Some people choose driving games based on which licensed vehicles are included. The list in this game is somewhat limited but they do a good job of mixing past and present tuner, luxury, and muscle cars. Not to mention a few sport bikes. You get 2 great cities as your backdrop so that’s pretty darn sweet in it’s own right. I really like the fact that all times of day are included. In previous MC games, it was only night time, dusk, and dawn. So this is a welcomed edition for me. My only gripe is the loading time. But considering what you get once it’s loaded, it’s hard to complain. Especially since you can free roam in CRUISE when you are in career mode. I also want to mention the other games in arcade mode like capture the flag which could be pretty fun. All in all, a decent title, you should check it out.
