Probably one of the best Megaman NT games, being brought to the DS is awsome, sure there are some moments where playing it on the DS might seem weird compared to the GBA but it more than handles itself well, a great pick up.
A surprisingly great port of the games. Well, game, as I’ve only been playing Colonel version currently, as I’ve borrowed the GBA version off a friend before. Digressing aside, most of the changes to the game is to the menu screen, taking advantage of the lower touchscreen enabling you to select options with a quick poke, though you ARE still able to navigate the menus with button presses. The touchscreen is merely for convenience rather than mandatory. There’s also voice acting added to the game, but….well, I’m not a personal fan of it, though only because it’s weird hearing Lan sound like a 35 year old man rather than the 13 year old kid he is. Other than than, pretty nice.Oh, and one more thing they added was the use of the mic to cheer up your Navi if they’re getting discouraged in battle. And by cheer up, I mean you can just blow into the mic a bit and they’ll go from nervous to double-damage mode instantly. One last thing to make note of, there are GBA port bonuses you can get with this game. If you have one of the original GBA carts of MegaMan Battle Network 5, you can take your save file from it and bring it into this one! So you can pretty much consider this an upgrade. All the other MegaMan Battle Network games will change the battle themes to the game you have in the GBA slot of your DS.I give this port a solid thumbs up.
I got this as a birthday gift to my friend, we’re both massive fans of the Battle Network series, his favorite was 3, but was surprised to hear that his favorite is now 5, just for the additional features in Double Team DS. Its really good considering how Nintendo has dropped GBA backwards compatibility for the 3DS.
It also has 2 Save Files.
Great game. Similar to previous titles. Enjoyable story. I like how you switch from Mega Man to Proto Man
I am glad how this saved me the time to get both rather than one! :) However both are very challenging, so challenging I am stuck.>_< I hope to beat it though.
Fun game, nostalgic
Just as the title said
The game met my expectations. I’m considering purchasing more games from retrolio in the future.
like the little extras they add to this ds remake of the gba version of battle network 5
