i Ordered Marvel Nemesis and instead i received Yu-Gi-oh inside of the case!!. Very unsatisfying and disappointing around the Holidays. Was trying to add to my collections and disappointment was un-packaged instead.
So you’re all waiting to see what people have to say about this game. You’re thinking that while it looks promising, it’s got to be too good to be true. Well you’re right. The graphics are worthy and the controls are nothing to complain about. Marvel Nemesis’ biggest drag down is its depth. Not storyline depth, but depth as a fighting game. It’s repetitive fighting combos make this game a renter. The moves that you saw in the preview clips, that made you want to put this game next to your pillow when you slept, were about as plentiful as quiet moments in a Will Farell movie. The story is intriguing, and as an action adventure game would probably grab 3.5 stars. But this game is wrongfully labeled a fighting game. I say if EA can clean up the moves and combos and add a few more characters, then a dynamite sequel may be in the cards for a potential franchise that has suspect kinks to be worked out. Like i said this one’s a definite must rent, and a definite beat yourself with a shoe if you buy it.Yours truly,The Trafficker

The last few weeks have been golden for Marvel fans in the video game realm. Not that we haven’t had any nuggets of brilliance before. Maximum Carnage gave us comic book thrills with so/so graphics. Separation Anxiety continued the tradition. Then along came PS2 and Spider Man 1 and 2. Great gameplay, great concepts. But something was missing. Then came the TRILOGY of great games in just a few short days. Marvel Nemesis, X-Men 2 ROA, and Ultimate Spider Man. It’s heaven no matter what genre of game you play; from fighting to RPG to arcade style action with INCREDIBLE graphics.Marvel Nemesis is brilliantly executed; and makes for great gameplay whether you play 2 player, online, or story mode. Lots of fantastic characters to pick from. I’ve played as Spidey and Venom. The backgrounds are incredibly rich and well detailed. It does take some time to pick up the moves- I’ve heard some people ripping it for that. But learning them is half the fun of the game. It reminds me of playing MK 2 with my buds and having to learn the combo of buttons to do a Fatality move. If it was really easy to do the moves, the game would have no replay value.I’ve also heard people rip on the darkness to the game, that some of the characters look murky or are in shadow. Well…when you fight at night, even the wildest of costumes are going to be muted a bit. This is Marvel Fight Club, slugging it out on a street or on the roof of the Daily Bugle. This ain’t your daddy’s fifteen cent comic books, this is down and dirty gritty life and death action.I’ve heard people rip on the new characters, then rip on how they’re using the same old recycled characters in another game. I wish people could make up their minds. This is one of the most original concepts I’ve seen in a long time for a fighting game. I think it’s awesome that they’ve INVENTED new characters, tied them into a comic book, and introduced them in a new game.Let me put it this way. I don’t just throw fifty bucks around if I haven’t researched it. I’ve played demos of this game. It’s worth the money.

Love it! Highly recommended!
For me, a quality single player experience needs to have 3 things; likable characters, an intriguing concept and/or story, and good, interesting gameplay. Marvel Nemesis; Rise of the Imperfects has none of these, but because it fails in all of them, it succeeds in winning my heart. It’s the perfect blend of edgy, stupid, gross, and a dash of boring to make it incredibly fun to play. Pick it up if you like having fun ripping a game to shreds, either with buds or by your lonesome.
Always a great game, but had to be resurfaced in order to play
Listen people, I know if you’re looking for an adventure game, you’ve come to the wrong place. It is an arcade game. But I couldn’t care less. If I want to put The Thing against Daredevil, I don’t care if it is and arcade like style. But that’s not why it sucks. This is why: Story Mode. It’s a lot more frustrating than it should be, and every few seconds if you’re not careful, you blow up. And the main villian isn’t directly fought by a Marvel hero! And then, the some of the heroes are brainwashed into attacking each other, and the game doesn’t tell you if they’re put back to normal. And if that wasn’t enough, 3 heroes have undetermined deaths in the cutscenes. This game is all over the place, and it’s confusing enough that I don’t even know who won. If you’re a Marvel fan, I need to stop you from buying a true mistake.
Lol the game doesn’t work, tried numerous times. Even tried different games in the PlayStation to see if it was the console itself, but sadly no. The game pops up on the loading screen then when you click the icon to the play game itself it loads a black screen then puts you at the main page to choose the memory cards or game.
What the hell was my brother thinking? Crappy story line, finished in 20 mins and graphics that would make psone look on in disgust!
