Played this game a ton as a kid, not a great fighter but it’s fun to play with friends.
This is a cool game for Marvel fans who want to battle in an 3d environment in stead of face to face like most fighting game. You can grab items and throw them at your enemey. Use your powers in combos instead of stupid powerup only able to use once. This game is a sleeper. People don’t know what they are missing.

This game is amazing for its time. Yeah the camera angles can be weird, & the characters look tiny as heck on a big flat screen. But it’s so worth it!! It’s especially fun to play this game with someone. The fights are fun, & the story mode is challenging & not too easy to beat on easy. The disc came like new, no scratches, & played it for hours in a row. Shipped fast too!Thank you

I’ve read a few reviews from fans that are upset about spiderman using "harsh" language, or the story being weak, or the graphics being bad.First of all, this is a ps2/xbox title, most games looked bad.If a game is too difficult for you on easy mode, that just means you’re not very good at it.I personally judge the game on its own merit.I enjoyed the design, the layout, the graphics and game play.It’s a beat em up and an arena fighting game at the same time.I play alot of my games on hard mode because I don’t like passing a game in 2 hours then just complaining about how short it was.So for me this game being a bit challenging on easy mode is perfect.I like that all the characters aren’t available from the start.Otherwise what would be the point in the playthrough?I don’t mind alternate costumes or harsh language.The game is rated t, if you’re not used to harsh language in a t rated game maybe you should stick to nintendo related products.I picked this up thinking it would be an xmen legends type game with better graphics.In a way I wasn’t wrong.For its time, I say the graphics are pretty good looking.The gameplay is pretty simple and the environment is destructible which can help or hurt you.overall I’m glad I tried this game.Graphics-8Gameplay -7Overall-8
I don’t really like the fighting style of the game. It seems like I’ve been waiting forever for a new X-MEN game similiar to my favorite one X-MEN Dimension. There’s some cool characters in this one though. Everyone has the same move basically except for a few characters. Another favorite game of mine is Soul Calibur. If you have played either game then you will know what kind of game I like.

One of my best friends were telling me about how the early reviews for this game were hitting the toilet, so I thought I’d just start an account to put my two cents in.This game is AWESOME. If you’re whining because you can’t play as certain characters, just go into story mode and unlock them like I did. If your game won’t save it, you either have a defective memory card or a bad copy of the game, because mine works fine. If that doesn’t work for you, just wait a few weeks and somebody will post a cheat. Personally, I like it because it’s not easy to win. This has been one of the first games in a long time that has compelled me to take it online. I don’t know about these new characters, but I know the old ones, and it’s kind of cool to pick fights with guys that have unknown skills and powers; it kind of adds a new sense of realism to the game. I’ve been on this game for a few days now and I haven’t even opened Ultimate Spider-Man yet.I haven’t had this much fun with a game since Mortal Kombat and the Capcom fighters. This has been my second favorite game this year since Revenge of the Sith came out.
