Mark my words. This will be the superhero game all future superhero RPG games are compared against. There are elements that are a little less than stellar (the story could use some work, and it needs more characters), but who doesn’t want to make a team consisting of Iron Man, Spider-Woman, Ghost Rider and Elektra? And let’s not even mention the fact that each character sports four different costumes, each giving your character different powers.Thor acts like Thor. Spider-Man plays like Spider-Man. Black Panther looks like Black Panther. Spider-Woman is exactly how you’d expect. And the villains kick much butt.Lots of characters. A ton of abilities. Great graphics, and an easy-to-use interface. This is a must-have for any video game/comic book fan. If you haven’t played it yet, you have no excuse.
All I can say is WOW.When I first heard about this game coming out, I was almost in awe. over 140 characters from the Marvel Universe coming together. It sounded like something that could only happen in the comic books. Then the game came out and after buying it, I was hooked. One thing I’ve always enjoyed about MARVEL are the characters. In the game, not only do you get to play well known heroes like Spiderman and Wolverine, who have all been featured in games in the past, but then there are heroes like Dr. Strange, the Black Panther, Thor, and Luke Cage who have never even appeared in a platform video game before. Another thing I’v always liked about MARVEL, are the interactions between heroes and villians they normally wouldn’t face. Here it’s pretty much every hero taking on all sorts of villians they nomrally wouldn’t fight…except for Doctor Doom…everyone has fought him.The game play is excellent, but probably my favorite feature is creating your dream team of heroes. I’ve only begun to stratch the surface of Ultimate Alliance, but I’ll say that I will definetly be playing it for a good while.
Our grandson just enjoys it so much. We found it right from home. It was easy to shop for and easy to order.
This is a pretty exciting game. You have to walk around completing levels as the superhero you pick. Some of the graphics are extremely wonderful, while others are just so-so. Because each superhero has certain moves that are distinct for them, you will always want to come back and play the game as someone else. The game is sort of like an RPG, the way you have storyline segments all over the place. But the action is really nice and wonderful, overall. There’s one battle in particular where a boss named Fin Fang Foom keeps appearing on a platform, and you have to attack him. This is a pretty fun fight, here. I bet more exciting fights are just like this one. A must-buy.
With so many superheroes to choose from, this game is so much fun. I have finished the game but keep starting the game from beginning with different characters. The graphic is not that great but it’s still fun. The game is not really that easy, but you don’t need a cheat code to beat the game. It’s worth buying. Trust me!
Over the years, video games based on comic book heroes haven’t fared well. Name one good Batman video game, I dare you. Spider-man has had the biggest success rate in recent years, and the Hulk had a pretty good entry last year, but beyond that you’re stretching things a bit. When X-Men: Legends came out a few years back, it was the start of a positive trend. Now everything has been set perfect by Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Taking a roster of over 20 different playable heroes, MUA allows the comic book fan to create dream teams never considered before. A-List heroes like Spider-Man, Captain America, the entire Fantastic Four, and Iron Man are joined by B-Listers like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, and even Blade. Imagine a team with Wolverine, Blade, Ghost Rider, and Deadpool…who could stop you? There are even those mega-powerful heroes like Thor, Silver Surfer, and Captain Marvel you can throw in. Oddly missing from the line-up is the Hulk, but I’m sure they had to save someone for the sequel. The storyline is simple: Doctor Doom has amassed an army of super-villains in an attempt to gain the power of Odin. Nick Fury of SHEILD gathers his own group of super folks to fight the threat. That’s where you come in. Create your team from the roster available to you and go one the missions he sends you on. Along the way, you see cameos from characters you’d never have believed you’d ever see in a video game. Imagine a video game with twenty “Non-Playable Characters” (char.
Great, received package as described in a timely manner
Product just as described. Super fast shipping!
This is the best superhero game ever! You play over 20 superheros like Iron Man,Ghost Rider, etc. And the game last over two days at least. But this game is so awesome !!! You fight a whole lot of villians from the marvel universe. But the bad part is the Hulk is not even in the game. This part might be a spoiler but is shows him dead next to Dr.Doom and that sucks!! But this game is still AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Just what you would expect from a beat ’em up–only with Marvel characters. My favorite was Thor because he can fly and strike from the air. From what I remember you can play over the internet (either GameSpy or head-to-head), so that’s a rare future for a PS2 game.
