I bought this game after playing through Portal 2 and loving it. I did initially only get it to play the original Portal, but I ended up playing Half Life 2 as well and I love it so far. I’m sure Team Fortress will be good but I have not played it yet. Portal is one of my favorite games and I would definitely recommend it. If you’re not really into puzzle games like Portal, Half Life 2 is great if you like first-person shooters.
Bought this game and loved it recommend
I’ll be honest, I bought the Orange Box just to play Portal.Portal, while it is very short, is an amazing game. I love it. It took me about 3 hours to beat, but that’s fine since now there are challenges to beat in it (least amount of steps taken/portals used, etc)Great set of games, i’ll be trying TF2 next.
Heh. I love this game. It’s 5 games on one disc with a cool selection screen. I mean if I’m playing Half Life 2 and I beat, typically I’d have to go out and buy the sequal, but nope. With the OB I can just go back and start playing Episode 1, Portal, or TF2. The controls are very fluid with few glitches and fits very well from the PC versions. However there were a few issues where I got stuck between a wall but that’s pretty much all. The only other thing I have against it is no splitcreen on TF2 and it has to be played online and that’s all.
A great collection of games. Plenty of content here all the games are varied enough and you’ll never get bored. Portal is one of my favorite games from the collection. TF2 i couldn’t get into, maybe i wasn’t good at it or I didn’t have friends that had the game. But i hear the PC version is alive and kicking to this day.One of the best collection of games money can buy. It’s a must buy.
This set is a MUST HAVE for any gamer out there. Half-Life is arguably one of the best game series out there, Portal is without comparison, Team Fortress is more of a leftover that I didn’t want, but getting the Half Life games and Portal for around $5 was amazing.
Buying this you get the following:Portal – a mind-bending puzzle game you’ll fall forTeam Fortress – a great class based multiplayer game, sadly the community isn’t there anymore (do yourself a favor and buy it for the PC)Half-Life 2: Episode 2 – Great part of the Half-Life 2 franchise with a wonderful story, great sidekick, and hours of gameplay
Great game. Half-life is one of those series which has stood the test of time this far. Portal is a great bonus as well.
I bought it a while ago for my son. He still plays it. I have never played it myself, so I can’t speak of the gameplay. It reads every time he plays it.
Valve’s games are really great and unique. I bought this for Portal, but I really enjoyed playing Half-Life 2 as well. Portal challenges your knowledge of physics by breaking rules with quantum tunnels, which will undoubtedly change your outlook on the world. (You’ll find yourself thinking, "this would be so much easier if I had a Portal Gun" and whenever you see cake, "The Cake is a Lie") Half-Life 2 is a surprisingly interesting story trying to survive in a world taken over by an Alien race called the Combine which was released accidentally at the Black Mesa Research Facility. (Which, interestingly enough, is the rival company of Aperture Laboratories… The focus of Portal)
