Ghost Trick is the best game I’ve played in a long, long time. The twists and turns feel fresh and new, the characters are all colorful and attention-grabbing, and the puzzles and gameplay are challenging, but always fun. I can’t tell you how gratifying it was to finally get through some of the harder ones– that moment when everything comes together is just awesome. It’s just so good words can’t do it justice.Seriously. If you like cool characters and cool puzzles and cool games, buy this game. You won’t regret it.
Great game, great story and you can’t stop playing it! :D
This is one of the DS games every DS owner should play. The puzzles are amazing, and the plot will keep you guessing. I can usually see a plot twist a mile away, but even I was surprised. In a perfect world, this game would have a dozen sequels.
It’s only the best game ever.Pretty close if not. Seriously accessible/addictive puzzle adventure game.
One of the best games for the DS hands down. It not only contains a unique style of puzzle game that hasn’t really ever been seen, but also the animation is gorgeous and the storyline is compelling and hilarious. I play a lot of different kinds of games and this is still one of my favorites!
Luckily a friend recommended this game to me, which is now my favorite puzzle game (so long p0rtal!) Sadly gems like these from Capcom, get far outsold by trash. The consumer is pretty hypocritical. Support these kind of games and Capcom will continue making them :}The game itself, feels like an indie mixed with a large budget. You get the creativity of a few dedicated minds, but the flare to make it worth every penny. Expect wonderful characters, insanely good animation, and a fantastic story. I played it twice, 5/5!
This game is great! I’ve had it for only a week now, and I already beat it — not because it’s too short, but because I was so engrossed, I could not put it down. I haven’t been this sucked into a game in a long while. This is going right on the top of my list of favorite puzzle/adventure games… well, JUST below the Monkey Island series, that is. I will definitely play this game again in a few years when I forget most of the details. Of course, as with the Monkey Island games or any good puzzle/mystery game, it’s always the best the first time around.I bought this game because I was looking for a good mystery/puzzle game on the 3DS or DS. It had good reviews, and at $16 brand new, it seemed like it would be worth trying it out. I am so glad that I did. The art is unique and charming, the characters are quirky and engaging — even most of the minor characters — and the music, though simple and somewhat repetitive, does a pretty good job of setting the mood. There were only a few times that I felt completely stuck. For the most part, the puzzles are very logic based, so they’re fun and challenging enough without the solution coming completely out of left field — unlike a certain favorite eccentric point-and-click-adventure *cough* Monkey Island *cough*. I probably could have figured out the few times I got stuck without Gamefaqs if I had simply been a tad more patient and observant. I just wanted so badly to find out who I was and why I was killed! Err… I mean the game’s.
It’s not often I rave about a game: I’m pretty picky (see my other reviews), however, this game was so addictive, in many ways. The art is unique, stylized, and well done. It reminds me of Street Fighter Alpha, a little over the top, however, I’m pretty sure the characters are 3D models, or I’m even more impressed with the quality and smoothness of the animations! The game play is simple and new, yet can get very complicated. Going from object to object, preforming single “tricks”, at specific times to see how it affects the world, and other objects. The details of animation and background, as well as interactive objects is great. Perhaps so much there to make up for the simple interface. At times you end up with a sort of Golberg-esc device, manipulating objects in a particular order to affect the change necessary to progress the story. And the story is very intriguing! It’s a murder mystery, with a twist, that’s deep, with many levels and minor stories that add to the whole picture. I regret rushing so fast through the story, to find out who dunit, and not taking the time to investigate each character better (such as reading their bios). There really isn’t much to Ghost Trick; it’s as simple as it’s name. You are a ghost, you can perform minor poltergeist-like tricks, however, with so many different objects you can perform tricks with, the puzzles become challenging. I hope for a sequel (if that is even possible with this type of game), where, perhaps, they give you more choi.
This game is so much fun! With only one puzzle that was frustrating to solve, it’s a short game with quirky characters and engaging game play. Clever story-telling, game mechanics, and narrative tropes. Definitely will play again and again!
This is probably one of the best adventure/puzzle games I’ve ever played. The game combines a good mystery story, fun puzzle gameplay, a unique and pleasant looking graphical style, and funny and interesting characters. You play as a ghost trying to solve the circumstances and reason for his death, and along the way you end up saving and crossing paths with many people who are all connected somehow. As a ghost, you have the power to manipulate objects (which you’ll need to do in puzzles in order to save lives) and also rewind time to 4 minutes before a person’s death, where you can then change their fate and hopefully save lives. It is a wonderful game with good writing and fun gameplay. I would put it up there with some of the best DS games and I’d really recommend it to just about anyone.
