A must have for any Mario fan! This game is great seriously you should buy it. =D . . .
Exactly what the description details said it would be and arrived quickly.Thank-You!
The game works great! When I opened the package, I couldn’t help but smile at how adorable it was wrapped. The game was in a little box that you could put earrings in. It works great, and the label is in perfect condition!
Mario World is THE GAME. It is so universally loved, you can’t help but keep this game in your collection FOREVER.
This game is the better than pockets.
Nintendo decided to skip Super Mario 3, and go for 96 level Super Mario World, in the second installment of Mario on Gameboy Advance. The game starts with a new intro of Mario, Luigi and Peach out in a hot air balloon, where Mario and Luigi go off flying with their caps, when they return, the Princess has disappeared! For those of you who have played Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo, nothing big has changed, but there are 100s of details which have improved, which most people would never notice, such as the ability to save anywhere (because this is portable), more sound effects like the voices of Mario and Luigi and also hold 999 lives! An amazing new feature is the colored Yoshi’s! Once you find a colored Yoshi in the hidden Special World, you can find them everywhere at random. The graphics however are not as bold and bright as Super Mario World, instead they are light and dull. The sound really is not up to par with the original game either. There are new controls as well, such as the jump and run are still the A and B buttons, but now the spin jump is the R button. There are also new intros and finishes to the game. Like Super Mario Advance, there are several new challenges, such as there are now 350 dragon coins in the game, get them all, and see a little scene where Princess Peach turns them into Princess coins. For every 1 million points you earn a star is added to the start screen. Silly little challenges that will keep people working for years to come.
For me, this game was the best 2D Super Mario Game of all time. Notable excellent features include the large overworld, the myriad powerups, and hundreds of secrets leading to hidden levels. What puts it apart from previous Super Mario games is the inclusion of Yoshi that you can ride, and what puts it apart from new 2D Super Mario games is its classic feel and addition of something new to the series. The tone of the game itself is classic awesome 2D platforming that you don’t see in a lot of new games these days. Even the New! Super Mario Bros games feel like just a re-hash of old Super Mario games. When this game came out for the Super Nintendo, it brought something new to the table, a new and welcome twist on an already successful game (whereas New! Super Mario Bros just adds 3D graphics and more powerups than you know what to do with). Not to mention this is an excellent port (unlike Sonic the Hedgehog for the GBA which feels choppy and laggy). To me, this game remains one of my favorite games of all time and I would recommend it to anyone trying to re-live their Super Nintendo days, or if you are looking for a wonderful 2D platformer with everyone’s favorite Italian plumber (if you haven’t played it before).
This game is challenging and very well made with nostalgia, one complaint, it came in poorly packaged, it was taped to a piece of cardboard and took forever to take the tape out without damaging the label, then I insreted it in my GBM and didn’t work, I blew in the cartridge 4 times and finally worked, sound, pixels, and color were good, problem is that I only have a box that is used for games with no cases so I use MKSC’s case for it since it is really clean and don’t want for the cartridge to get dirty, but I still recommend this game to anyone, I bring this game to school and my friend gets really nostalgic since he played it when he was 5 on the SNES
Super fun! For all types of gamers! If you play the new mario games, this is a good look at what started everything.
I use to play this game all the time on the snes, and now it’s great to finally have it again on a handheld. Very fun, I really enjoy how a blue yoshi can pop out of a normal yoshi egg instead of having to repeat the star world level to get another one. My only complaint is the dialect they added and the way luigi jumps and has different skills. I would really enjoy luigi if it wasn’t for the extra long jumps and the way yoshi acts with him. But, still, this is a great game and will comtinue to be my favs! :)
