THE GOOD:14 job classes, to get some you’ll have to do special stuff like to become an Angel Knight you’ll need an Ark Angel Feather and you’ll need to die in battle and have that charater would have had to been lawfull (holy), 32 different emblems you can earn to increase or decrease your stats based on your actions ( Blood Reign: awarded for those who kill 25 people terrifies enemies within 3 squares of hero, or Dragon Slayer , or Berserker, or War God are just some of the many different and creative emblems you can earn to show that you are the best).A great battle type just the previous Ogre battle on the SNES or for the more recent gamers like Final Fantasy Tactics. Two different endings are obtainable based on your desicions. Creative and amazing enemy designs that rival that of final fantasy tactics. A great multi-player function that allows you to battle others (you can finaly settle those who has the best final fantasy tactics file) or trade items and players.THE BAD:Not anything really wrong with the game but some job classes can never be obtained such as beast tamer (kill more then one beast and you can never become one) dragon tamer (kill more then one dragon and you can never become one) Priest (kill more then ten people and you can never become one) the really bad thing is that you need to try every job class to get a certian emblem.SUMMARY:Overall the best game boy advance game thats came out so far. Also I could’nt help but remember all the great times I had p.
In case your wondering, I’m not some guy from Atlus USA trying to promote this game, I’m simply trying to ensue the Awesome coolness of rpg and strategy games. This is a really good game. I ordered it from retrolio.com and hoped it would get to my house before I had to go to camp. It didn’t. So when I got home from camp, I figured it would be there. It wasn’t. the day I got back from camp, we went on a week-long vacation 2 OBX. So when we got back, I finally had it. It… was…AWESOME!!! I’m not saying retrolio.com is bad, it’s easily the best onlige shopy, store thingamajig(and, it technically got it to me in 6 buisness days, better than average, it just seemed longer because I was away most of the time) That night alone, I played about four hours. It is a huge game, with 20 or 30 somethin’ levels. It has xtraordinary replay value because dozens of classes and multiple endings make the game costomisable. Also, quest mode adds some variety 2 getting items. The class change system is simple and include tons of classes, My current party has a High Preist, 2 Dragoons, 2 swordmaster, 1 angel knight, 1 siren and 1 knight. The battle system and class change sysem are enhanced by emblems, graphical(for the gameboy advane)spells, and the consistent level-up system(none of that dragon-warrior type stuff, where its like, 10 to lv. 2, then 10,000 to lv. 50)it takes 100 ex points to go up a level the whole way through, plus , you can get ex point just for attacking someone, not only for defe.
Take heed and embrace this word of warning for an addictive, time-consuming cartridge has been unleashed! This is a monster of a game geared up to subtract the crux of your week, and have you relentlessly tossing and turning to continue the adventure. Because of their potential to cease human existence, Turn-Based RPGs should be treated like controlled substances, and Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis is far from being an exception. At its first skirmishes, TO conjured memories of Strategy champs such as Shining Force III and the unprecedented Final Fantasy Tactics (not to mention the Ogre Battle saga itself). However, The Knight of Lodis is no uniform clone that apes the past, and I`ll tell ya why, sonnie. As the GBA camped nights on the earth of my palms, palpable respect and joy slung on. The Knight of Lodis goes beyond a revision of its acceptable genre, supporting its own unique style. At the same time it resembles past episodes and defends its place as a new Strategy/RPG beaming with all the fantasy royalty.Set in the general swords and sorcery theme, an all-out war is intensifying and its up to your party’s decisions to let accord careen through the bleak roads ahead. The Empire of Holy Lodis has invaded lands in hopes to forcefully convert the masses with their religion. Particularly brutal and implying that Lodism is honorable vindication for their violence, their hidden intent is proliferation. They set their sights on the island of Ovis. Assuming the ro.
This game as I said, is simply amazing! I was a big fan of Final Fantasy Tactics, which is the first game I played of this type, and I find this game very much like it which is a plus. I still play FFT once in a while. Well back to Tactics Ogre.I just love this game and I am truly addicted to it. The storyline is great which you must read (i do not suggest skipping cutscenes) to get into the depth of the game. The Battle System is easy to learn after a few minutes of gameplay. The Classes available provide variety in your combat squad. Although the system is not as in depth as FFT (ie purchase skills through exp points) there is customizable spells and emblems/medals to acquire for different class availability. I just started the game so I dont know the details within the game. One thing this game could have had was a thief class ( me being a FFT fan), but that does not really matter. Using the persuade action is great to recruit, I use it to recruit the enemy and sell the weapons for quick money, then dismiss the unit afterwards. The graphics are great for the little handheld! Once again It really reminds me of FFT. The musical score adds a nice touch to the game.If you loved FFT this is a must have! I suggest you purchase this game ASAP! There is Quest Mode Option for treasure hunting and even a 2 Player VS Link Mode! This game will provide countless hours of pure enjoyment and I believe that the replay value will be great! I heard there is, I believe, 6 different endings, so.
The gameboy advance has what I believe only a limited amount of strategic games (if one does not include the gameboy color and gameboy games).Aside from Advance Wars, this is a great tactical roleplaying game. The game is very similar to the ogre tactics (name may be incorrect) from the playstation if not the same. The characters look very well done and are translated nicely for the small color screen. The game mechanics is well done and one can get used to how to equip characters and transfer items to others after a few attempts. The emblem concept works well and the various abilities and the requirements to change classes are nicely done as well.If you like Final Fantasy Tactics (which also rummored to be coming to this system but not real soon), then this game is for you. If you never tried Final Fantasy Tactics but like tactical roleplaying similar to the Shining Force Series where you can decide where the character’s move in a 3D-type lanscape (but not in the 1st person view), then this game has a BUY rating from me.Again, buy this game, buy advance wars, mario cart and buy street fighter for the game boy advance…these four games you can’t go wrong with.
Tactics ogre is one of the best games i’ve had the pleasure to play. It is the kind of game that makes you want to stay up late playing. In T.O you assume the role of a knight named Alphonse(that’s only the default you can make your own) a member of the felis order of the sacred flame. As you progress in the story you have to survive through countless battles in vivid multilevel battlefields. The game is supposed to have 40+ hours of gameplay but I beat it in 30. I still am working on the THREE other possible endings to the game so thats ok.this game is a great game and I STRONGLY suggest you get the game right NOW (I dont care care if you have to steal for it) its just that good. GET IT, NOW, NOW, GET IT understand? Good.
Absolutely love this game. Glad I found it here for a good price, if you’re into strategy games get this!! It’s basically like chess but each piece can be customized.
I recently bought this game for an upcoming vacation I knew I would need something to entertain myself with. This game is much harder than Golden Sun. I like the story line because it is deeper than Golden Sun. I have to say, I didnt get into the battle system and I was a little put off not being able to wander around the towns at first. This took me awhile to get used to, but when I did, it becomes highly addictive! This game is a stategy game. It really makes you think. The characters are neat, but the graphics arent as good as Golden Sun.
tactics ogre the knight of lodis is one of the best games i have ever playedstory 10/10the story is great but i wont spoil it for yousound 10/10the sound is great and the music this game has the best soundtrack in any game ever madegameplay 10/10the gameplay is GREAT its a stradigy/rpg its alot like final fantasy tactics so if you played that game you will love this gamecontrolls 10/10the controlls are simple and easyreplay value 10/10the replay value is great i have beaten the game at least six times and im still playing the game even todayover all a must have gba game
As some others have noted, this game is relatively easy when it comes to the actual “tactical” side of things; one is able to pretty much charge into battles as they will, with little actual planning and strategy. The graphics were appealing, especially the character portraits, though there were a few times the Advance’s processor slowed down the game time extensively due to too many sprites on the field, most notably whenever the “Crag Crush” spell is cast.I found the in-game music to fit appropriately, and I never found myself annoyed or tired of the battle melodies or the between battle song. The sounds characters make when they are vanquished can be quite amusing the first few times heard, actually. My true reason for writing this review, however, is to bring attention to the game’s beautiful and intricate plot-line. I purchased this game on a whim, since I was looking for a way to kill a lot of time while on one of my various trips, saw that Tactics Ogre was a time killer, and went at it. I had no idea that the plot was so thick and rich in character and dialogue! The story flows as smooth as silk and oddly enough, is very believeable. As the player you are able to control certain aspects of the story, but if you want the fulness of it all then you should play the part of the true hero and go after the love interest of the game, Eleanor. She finds the hero on a beach after the first battle of the game, from which the seeds of love are planted. The hero’s quest bring.
