A super fun and awesome game! My husband was so happy when he got this for Christmas! The game is charming and fun and really is good for a wide range of age groups. It isn’t super easy but it isn’t hard and seriously this game looks INCREDIBLE!!! Nintendo did so good on this game!
This is my first Luigi game so I had no idea what to do. As a result, I nearly sent it back because all I seemed to do was go in circles in the same room without the ability to do anything. In part this is because in other Nintendo games Mario and his cohorts are able to pick up things and I assumed Luigi would be the same. The other problem I faced was the developers’ use of the X button to do things. In every other Nintendo game I’ve played the A button is used so, quite frankly, I thought something was wrong with the functionality of the game itself. But once I tracked down a walkthrough I found on the Internet, I learned that the X button was right and it got me moving into the game.I’m a pretty experienced gamer and I have to say I find the controls somewhat difficult. Trying to keep the vacuum cleaner pointing in the right direction doesn’t seem to be easy for me. I have the same problem with the flashlight. That being said, I find that, due to the perspective perhaps, it’s difficult to tell what direction the characters in this game and some other Switch games are facing. So if you try to point them (or their tools) at a 45 degree angle, it’s very difficult to tell whether or not they are, in fact, pointed that way until the ghost clobbers you or you fire off the flashlight and see it’s not pointing where you think it is.Once you get the hang of the controls however, the game play goes smoothly and there’s a lot to explore. The graphics are amazing and Luigi’s.
Honestly i suggest all luigi fans to get this game, it’s so entertaining and it really brings some nostalgia back from the gamecube times.
Bought this for my 7yo son and played through it over the holidays with him. Fun puzzles. Tiny bit scary elements but fun for the kids to see and capture the ghosts. Even my 4yo enjoyed it and wasnt scared at all. Good job Nintendo.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 takes some of the best bits of 1 and 2 and mashes them into something new. Big shiny hotel, lots of floors. It’s very pretty on the big screen but is a treat to play in the pocket, too. Some of my favorite levels were the cherry blossoms/giant watermelons in the bathrooms, because of just how nice the effects look when poltergust-ing them up, the director’s studio and the giant dino skeleton that breaks out of the museum level! There’s a good number of floors for this game to feel like a good value, but it’s also just a lot of fun to play through. If you enjoy Super Mario games, or liked either of the previous Luigi’s Mansion games, you can’t go wrong here. For yourself or as a gift, this game will be loved by just about anyone that decides to pick it up. You can have a second player controlling Goo-igi, and there are a number of multiplayer levels. Plenty to do and so far all of it has been an absolute blast.
Exactly what I wanted and arrived fast!
Amazing game, really does justice to the original. I thought it was very well executed, the gameplay and storyline are all very solid. This is definitely worth picking up.
So far this game is a lot of fun! I loved the original. My kids have played Dark Moon, but I really love the coop play in this one. The 2nd player has a very important role, and has parts that need to be completed WITHOUT the 1st player. The graphics are beautiful, and there are even genuine jump scares every so often. The controls are a little wonky when it comes to aiming the vacuum or flashlight, but that is kind of a part of the thrill (like the camera angles in the old Resident Evil games).Luigi is hilarious and reacts in great ways to “scary” things. So funny!
Awesome game! The digital code was available instantly and had a quick installation. My wife and I wanted a game where we could both play in career/story m mode and this game provides that experience! Really fun to play with beautiful animations.
I do not usually write reviews for games since you can find reviews everywhere on youtube or ign or other places. I just want to say how much I love this game. The game is well polished and visually satisfying. The music is fantastic too. The atmosphere is well built. In terms of gameplay, it’s easy to learn but hard to master, classic Nintendo style. However, it does get quite boring towards the end.
