A definite worthwhile game for the DS. It is not as good as FF Tactics Advance, but I still enjoy it. I wish they’d come out with another one!
Mobile take on a classic game. In my opinion Final Fantasy Tactics was the best game on the PS1. A2 is a great game for fans of the PS1 version. Really wish Tactics gets a next gen make over.
I had difficulty starting up, it takes quite a bit of effort to get through the early missions with almost no equipment and no skills. But at a certain point, you’ve crossed a power threshold, and the game just takes off and it’s a lot more fun.
I bought this since I enjoyed the first Final Fantasy Tactics. It’s a strategy, turn based game, so don’t expect it to be fast.
I have always been a fan of The Final Fantasy Tactics games. They have never dissapointed me especially now in a time of gaming where I find dissapointment is all too commonplace when one looks at RPG and Tactic type games. When I fought my first battle of Final Fantasy Tactics A2:Grimore of the Rift I was hooked and couldn’t be happier about it. The story, characters and all the weapons and items you can equip and utilize are second to none.If you haven’t played one of these games before you will be comfortable and able to use everything at your disposal before, during and after battles with the ability of a “Final Fantasy Veteran” before you have a dozen battles under your belt.To touch on the games replay value for me… I’ll be happy to take it out,put it in my DSxl and play it again and again. In my opinion this is a very unique game that never seems to get old. I’ve played a game in the easy mode and a game in the hard mode both to the final victorious battle I’m now playing it a third time in hard mode. I’ve fought and won the last battle and the game allows you to continue playing the same game after the last official battle. Slowly but surely I am acquiring items I still need to learn all the abilites required to “Master” a characters job.The characters you choose to keep and use in your quests can master anywhere from four to twelve jobs each. My goal is to have all 24 of my characters become masters of all the jobs they can perform. If that is your goal.
A good way to kill time. A lot of time. Be prepared to spend a long time playing this
Its a fantastic game. I got it so I can play with my sister. I found the plot to be interesting and fun. I love this game. The quests and fun and inventive. The strategy involved makes the game exciting. I highly recommend this game. It holds true to the spirit of Final Fantasy.
Good game good price enjoyable and one of my favorites
I bought this game because I really loved the previous game "Final Fantasy Tactics" and was looking for a newer version that I could play on my 3DS after losing Tactics. It filled every hope that I had. It was as good as the first game, in my opinion, but the changes to the Law system (while I can see the benefits and pros of the changes) were unneeded. Despite my views on the Law system, this game was a great play, and I am definitely going to playing it for a long time to come, even after beating it.
This game will take well over fifty hours to complete, and many more if you want to hundred-percent-completion it. I spent one hundred hours on the first game, and over seventy on this one (and I’m still not done). I’ll probably play through it more than once. It’s a lot of gaming for your money, so it’s got a lot of value. However, if you’re not into strategy games, leveling up in this turn-based game may get tedious for you (like in the Pokemon games).
