awesome game. you gotta pay attention at every cut scene to really understand the story and how it comes together but gameplay is one of the best 3ds rpgs out there
The product came nice and protected im a collector so flawless items im keeping seal are key and they didnt disappoint. Thank you so much
I waited for this release in the west and I’m happy it’s finally here! Great end for Etrian Odyssey on 3DS.PD: retrolio needs to stop sending packages like this in their plastic bags, all the time boxes came with marks or with bends.
I still died many times despite being on Basic difficulty. Ah, Etrian Odyssey experience, I missed you. The story is more compelling, and there is a ton of NPCs accompanying you into dungeons. Downloaded a ton of free portraits, it was great! They even offered DLC only portraits. The game only had JP dub tho. I noticed that the translators left an adjective for one of the female’s voice untranslated, which was understandable. Having an overworld makes the game feel more alive. So far, I like the game a lot.The box came in dented. Like, really dented. But I got a refund from retrolio so I guess it’s okay.
I’ve been playing this since it arrived at my house for awhile and feel I know it well enough to write a small review. Since this is the “greatest hits” game of sorts I would think most of the people coming to this retrolio page would be returning EO players, so this review might make more sense to them. The Good:+The game features an enormous cast of 19 classes you can choose to form your party (and 1 hidden class of sorts, which I won’t spoil here).+Any character’s portrait colors can be altered like in EO5. Additionally, you can even give them a portrait from another class, which is awesome. Example: My Medic uses a Pugilist’s portrait.+The skill tree is much better than EO5’s as there’s no separate racial tree which I thought was kind of dumb.+Every class has the Force Boost / Force Break skills like those from EO2 Untold.+You can now spend more than 1 skill point at a time if you have them (handy!)+There’s an over world map that connects multiple dungeons from past EO games and it’s done really well.+The music is great!+EO5’s weapon forging / upgrade system makes a welcome return.+The bartender is just awesome lol… the best in the series by far.The Bad:-Though you get 19 classes to choose from, there’s only 1 true elemental mage type of character (Zodiac). Worse still is they are greatly outperformed by many other classes mid to late-game. If they were only going to include a single “mage” option, I think EO5’s Warlock class would’ve been a much better choice. Hell, even.
I bought it a few months ago, but it was in new condition when it arrived. Good product! Love the Etrian Odyssey Series!
+ Llegó en perfectas condiciones y correspondÃa a la descripción.- Las voces de los personajes son en japonés y no en inglés.
What an Amazing game. Lots of nostalgia from previous games. What an end to an era for the 3ds
The pin was kind of hard to recognize as the character, its kind of a floppy plastic. The game is pretty and as i expected – only the voices are ONLY in japanese… kinda wish they would have done voices again or never in the series.
I’ve been a staunch fan of the Etrian Odyssey games on both Nintendo DS and 3DS and love this iteration. It combines everything great about the old games and uses most of EOV’s UI. It will be a nostalgic finish to the series on the 3DS…looking forward to the next game on Switch!
