Amazing game. With such a heart warming story.
Man I wish this game got a sequel…
Fun rhythm game – excellent use of touch screen. Not to be missed.
Despite Nintendo’s past ill-conceived ideas such as sticking with cartridges over CD format for their Nintendo 64, promoting GBA-Gamecube Connectivity over Online, now and then they nail it on the head and shows why they don’t just pump out similar titles like everyone else. With the DS’s touch screen, many unique concepts over the years have popped up. Some seem tacked-on such as Dawn of Sorrow’s or just simple menu displays but on occasion, a game exclusively features it. Elite Beat Agents is surprisingly addictive when you feel like the song is at least a little in your head, other times it can get frustrating easily.Story: It’s a kooky story so don’t expect nothing fancy. 3 Agents decide to save people’s problems through music so we have little vignettes ranging from saving a babysitter from crazy kids to a washed-up ballplayer getting his groove back to stuck-up celebrity sisters stranded on an island.Graphics: Very nice indeed. The entire thing has a very comic book feel and presentation and visuals are nicely done. It shines during its story scenes where it’s quite animated and fluid. Your main play area isn’t really nothing to write home about but that wasn’t the point of them anyway.Sound/Music: Of course it’s entirely music driven so it’s good audio quality considering DS’s tiny speakers and whatnot. There’s several voice clips like when a story character needs help, they actually scream “help!” while your commander yells “Agents are…GO!”. My one complaint is that.
this game was really cool. it really is worth it at such low price…after your done tho, you prolly wont want to play again xcept on wifi, which is awesome because your friend(s) dont need the game to play, and up to four can go with just one card! so it is a very good multiplayer game!
Certainly everything they said was there, each item that normally comes in the game, even the Club Nintendo slip. Just a shame there were label stickers on front and back side. Other than that fantastic condition.
I received this game long ago as a present. I hear of its’ rise in japan under a different name and heard about its’ coming to the west. I did not expect much, but maybe that was for the better. By the first 3 songs on the game, i was hooked. I was skeptical at first because of the song choices, but tapping madly to the beat of “ABC” and “Let’s Dance” got me going . It really helps that each song is accompanied by a story too that plays out depending on how ell you perform. Don’t be fooled, difficulty especially to those who aren’t necessarily rhythm kings will have something to “sweat” about as they advance to the next level, but practice makes perfect , just make sure you take good care of your touch screen. One of a kind game, all the time in the world to play it.
I purchased this game because it was similar to the game Dance Dance Revolution. EBA is very addicting. The only thing that I thought was kind of annoying was the wait time for it to load when playing with 2 or more players. When you play with other DS owners, it takes a while to DL the EACH song to play. First it would load the master DS, then load the competitors DS. For each song you want to play, it does that.I haven’t really gone that far yet in the game but it only starts out with two levels.Overall this game is great and I would recommend it to people that has good rhythmic skills. =)
My son had lost the first one he had, so I bought this one s a replacement. This is an awesome game. It plays lots of old songs but they are very upbeat and it’s a lot of fun.
alright,so most people pprobably overlooked this little gem. being 19, i find it hard for most games to hold my ettention. when i saw this i picked it up, and havent been able to put it down . i am looking through my 3ds at my playtime, and it is at 21 hours. with four levels of play and an awesoe soundtrack, it redefines portable rythm gmes. i obl have three ds/3ds games left. Elite Beat Agents being m favorite of them. i highl reccomend thi title.
