The title is my 12 year old daughter’s review of this game. Quote, "I LOVE it!" She say it’s the perfect balance of being intriguing without being impossibly hard.
Dragon Quest 5 had to be one of the most Solid RPG experiences the DS had to offer and Dragon Quest 6 Does not disappoint either. It has a interesting story, Colorful characters and pretty decent Battles (First person style but that doesn’t stop it from being Fun)If you are a JRPG fan then this is a Must Buy.
I like this game and this is the first time I have owned it
The monsters on level 1 zones. They are not much challenging like in Dragon Warrior I on Gameboy Color or Nintendo I. At that moment, I thought the game is not challenging but the difficulty pays up on the 3rd boss. They did this easier difficulty on the beginning so that I can move on to a new mission and story. It is not that bad, yes? Yes, the real diffuculty and fun starts as you finish the quests. I read some reviews in gamespot from editor’s reviews, they contain some con and errors too. They as well don’t see things the pros and advantage of the game. Let’s say the editor review says about con, “too easy” but the story pays up in the beginning and another mistake about reviews that the beginning they say “too easy”, but the story is entertaining to play and for beginners to learn the controls/basics that pays up for it. Another con they say about the save system. The reason they add this because of the church and priest servicing you to play music church while saving the game. Two words for them, religion haters. This is how rude their reviews are. Also, it becomes harder once you able to move on. I was surprised that there was deduction puzzles as well. I was challenged there, too. The grind part is what makes Dragon Warrior VI Dragon Warrior I. The funniest part as you grind there, you won’t notice you are gaining levels due to puzzles in dungeons. The game has tricks to make you not feel bored from grinding. Yes, this is how amazing this game is. This is my short re.
Well, I am old school man…but that is besides the point. I spent 108 hours leveling up and earning different job types…very cool!
I’ve been a fan of Dragon Quest well before the name change (Use to be Dragon Warrior) and have been playing the series since it’s first release back in the 80’s. Dragon Quest 5 & 6 never made it over to the states and the last game of the original 2 trilogies was Dragon Warrior 4.Through the years I had been looking to complete the 2 of the original games and played various translations in ROM formats, that never really gave me the full experience. This and Dragon Quest 5 have always been called two of the best games in the series, for the more adult themes, so when they came to DS I jumped at the chance to get them.Over all it was great, it just felt too americanized, and aimed towards kids, with the really weird translation, and goofy names.I’m still a fan of the series and have played this several times since, it just wasn’t what I had hoped it would be.
satisfait !
great game, great story line just the thing to pass the time during those cold winter days, out of wife hair
Dragon Quest similar to the others I’ve bought with the exception of not being to recruit different monsters. You can get a few slimes and a Lizard "Lizzie". I understand these changes were made for the DS. As I don’t have wifi some elements are not available to me. (I’m seriously thinking of investing in PSP usb to internet).Anyway if you like the Dragon Quest series it’s not the best but a good stopgap till the next one comes out.
Great game
