My daughter is 4 and loves this game. I bought it bc of reviews I read about it being somewhat educational and it is true. My daughter tells me about all kinds of dinosaurs and geographical locations. I highly recommend.
You get the feel of an actual dinosaur dig and get to choose locations around the world where you want to dig: kids can learn a bit of Geography and also Archaeology. What’s not cool about that. I’m not sure younger kids will appreciate the value of persistence (continuous play) to win more chances to dig up stuff, but the whole process is a learning experience for them and the controls work pretty well without too much effort, which can be a problem with some DS games. I would probably consider buying this as an app for a tablet just to be able to have a larger screen size. It’s not the most user-friendly game I have watched the kids in my family play, some will need a bit of guidance before they can do it on their own, but thankfully for me, I didn’t have to plow through the manual to help them out.
The age for this game is appropriate. We bought it for him for his birthday. He really enjoys the game. Even his older brother borrows it sometimes.
This game is a little difficult for my almost 4 year old. He does get through it but needs help. Overall it keeps his occupied until he gets too frustrated. Once he’s a little order he will be able to play by himself. Very educational.
My grandson wanted this games & was very excited to get it. It came in just a few days, very happy because he was checking the mailbox. And it looked like new.

This is a great game for those young, dinosaur enthusiasts. Video games are very exciting to young kids, and this is taylored perfectly to that younger group. Easy to understand, but still fun and challenging.
Bought this game for 5year old grandson for Christmas. He loves dinosaurs so was happy to get it. Loves the game. I was pleased with fast shipping. Would buy again.
Even though this game is a little advance for my daughter, she really wanted it so I got it cheaper where on retrolio then at Walmart. It only took my daughter a few hours to get the hang of it, and now she loves the game. Some of the mini games are hard (even for me at times), but it’s the only way for her to get digging points to unlock more dinosaurs.
