Inspired be the arcade classic from the 1980’s the plot centers around a good-verses-evil yarn; where two neighboring countries are in the midst of war. A pair of defective nuclear missiles, en route to a safe detonation site, has begun to leak. Badly damaged, the carrier automatically locks onto the most direct route. Clear a path to help the carrier arrive safely. Tons of vehicles are at your disposal. Leave nothing standing or the adventure will end in an earth-shattering explosion! Players control one of two Bionic Commandos; who serve the good country Karinia. Your goal is to overthrow the tyrannical Avar Empire which is planning a large-scale assault on the Commandos’ home turf. Find the hidden technicians to ensure a safe detonation. Strap on your seat belt, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

I love playing this game. can get tedious at times, but a good way to waste time
This is one of the best games for the 64 and it sells for a fair price. We all know Rare made some of the best games on the system and this was no exception. To sum up the plot you are a driver is a set of various construction / destruction vehicles tasked with clearing the way for nuclear missiles. If you don’t clear the level the rockets go boom.As simple as the plot is the game play is as well. It’s as simple as driving and using a few cool moves and special weapons. There are some basic puzzles at times along the way that challenge you to think ahead.Where the game really excels in my opinion is how you choose to way to end the game. You can end at getting the weapons to their final place and launch the space shuttle, or you can go and get all the collectibles and open planetary travel. Going through the planet levels is fun and trying to earn all gold medals and then platinum is very challenging and will really up your skills.Buy this game and have hours of fun!
Game developer Rare has done a great job of creating a unique and fun game for all. This is a game that requires you to hone your skills and patience in order to complete the challenges. It has a wide variety of challenges, from clearing a nuclear truck’s path to finishing laps in a certain time. There are three different difficulty levels – easy, medium, and hard – that you earn by beating all the levels in the preceding difficulty. There is a lot to do in this game. The plot is simple – a truck with a defective nuclear bomb strapped on it needs to be detonated in a safe place. The main problem is that the truck is continuously moving at a set speed, and the slightest bump will set it off. It’s up to the Blast Corps to clear it’s path using a variety of vehicles. Some missions are too easy, but still fun, while others are incredibly hard. Many of the levels will require you to try them over multiple times. The camera uses a birds-eye view and follows your vehicle. This is acceptable for the atmosphere of the game, but it becomes difficult when you need to look for extra buildings or rdu’s. All of the vehicles are well made and fun, though the dump truck levels can be the most frustrating because the only way to destroy buildings with it is to smash them with its back end skid into them. The controls can be frustrating in crucial moments as well. Since the camera is above the car, left and right become mixed up. I also noticed that with the two mechs that roll/cartwheel into bu.
Love it
Blast Corps, it may not be vehicular combat, but it is vehicular destruction. Too bad that Backlash had to exist though…
In terms of aging well, the N64 as a whole has not. Most of the titles are campy and the first generation of 3d games are almost painful to play compared to newer titles. Of course, that’s not even mentioning the absurdity of the N64 controller. This game though, along with a small handful of exceptions, is one of the bright spots for the console. The concept, while nonsensical if you really think about it, is indeed original and the gameplay meshes puzzle solving with controlled chaos and destruction very well. The best thing I can say for the game is that yes, nearly seventeen years after its release, it is still fun to play. No other game like this exists, and it’s probably the most deserving N64 game for a sequel. Some levels are extraordinarily difficult, some spots feel buggy, the limited field of view is excruciating sometimes, but, despite these effects of age, it still holds solid gameplay value.
I remember this game when it first came out. This game was reasonably priced and shipping was reasonable I enjoy it

Its a good game. It’s not that hard until the levels late in the game (i.e. diamond sands) and it is fairly addictive. It is very fun but gets tedious if you get stuck in a harder level. Also, Backlash is rather hard to control even with practice.HOWEVER: it is worth your time even with the issues with backlash and the harder levels. Most of the game is very creative and decently difficult.
youve got space age mega-destructive demolition vehgicles.you are on timed boards where you go in and in destroy everything in sight!theres bombs, giant dump trucks that can take out buildings and much much more!the only pain in the butt is this stupid timed thing.if it werent for the timer putting pressure on yoiu the whole time.this would be far less stressful.
