I got this as a birthday present per my daughter’s request. She said its a little different from the app she downloaded but its minor differences. Overall, she loves the game.
Loved this game, great fun!
Great game! Just isn’t as good as the normal Phoenix Wright games is all.
Love these games
Came in perfect condition. Game is fun.
My favorite NDS game is Ace Attorney, I’ve played all of them (including the 1st, 2nd, 3rd for Pheonix Wright and this one and the magician one. They are also my source for learning English! (My English improves so much because of it :Q)I feel like I can be a good detective, too, just by playing this game!
Nice!
Great addition to the series. A new twist where you are the prosecutor
Having played the Ace Attorney 1,2,3 games + Dual Destinies, I found the Investigation series a different yet similar experience from the originals. There’s some merit, and I enjoyed the exeperience, but I think Capcom could have done better, regarding storyline and character development.Simply put:Pro:-Different perspective than the defense attorney (focus on the scene)-Focus on Miles Edgeworth (I am an Edgeworth fan :D) and other characters (Gumshoe)Con:-Limited gameplay (scene of the crime minus the courtroom scene, which was a huge factor in the original Pheonix Wright series)-Kinda forced "original dynamic" (rebuttals and analysis in the courtroom) into the crime scene-Decreased level of difficulty, which shortens gameplay time (and you can’t really replay the game which is a real bummer)I gave four stars because I think this is a great play for anyone who’s played the AA series (and is a fan), and I’m biased because of Edgeworth (I was so sad when he wasn’t as prominant in AA 2 an 3 compared to the first one……). However, I am disappointed because this game had so much more potential, and failed to accomplish everything it could have achieved. As a former pre-law student who interned as an investigator intern at an actual criminal defense law firm, I can say that the game accurately reflects the skills and abilities (logic and deduction) required for a real investigator. However, I think Capcom could have done better than try to reuse what tactics were used in.
Those in the Ace Attorney fandom have waited a long time for this game, myself included; and I personally was not disappointed. This game introduces a cast of great new characters — just the types of characters that this series is known for. The soundtrack is fantastic; some say it is on par with the soundtrack of the first game, which seems to be universally loved. (My favorite tracks are Crises of Fate and Confess the Truth 2009, personally.)The investigation phases where you’re able to move Edgeworth around, while definitely different and requires getting used to, were welcome, and for those who loved the courtroom showdowns of the previous games, there are “confrontations” with the characters — which play the exact same way. There is plenty of shout-out to the original series: plenty of continuity nods, cameos by the old cast, throwaway lines that reference events from the other games — all of which are very endearing for a long-time fan.Sometimes, there was a little too much “fanservice”; too many appearances by the old cast, which made it all too easy to narrow down the possible murderers and figure out the real culprit. In general, this game has been criticized as being easier than its predecessors; but really, this could be a good or bad thing depending on who you are.All in all, if you’re a fan of Ace Attorney, check out this game. Especially if you’re a fan of Edgeworth; I think you’ll find it definitely worth your time.
