I bought this game at March and I’m still at the Final Boss stage. It is impossibly hard for me…and that’s only because I really do suck at action games…I don’t even know when or how I’m going to finish it… :-(Having said that, WOW~ what an amazing ride. The battle is so much fun. It plays just like arcade games. Perfect control!!Some games, even AAA title games from both US and Japan , artificially screw up the control to make the game last longer or to give it a “difficulty control”…Not here, no “lazy programming.”Characters responds instantly to players’ control!!Graphics, well I’m a huge fan of 2D, so I’m bias, but It’s so much fun that, the less then perfect “entirely 3D graphic” is non issue for this game.If you like RPG or even action games, Please do M E a favor and buy this game !You won’t regret it! I give it a very well deserving Solid Five stars.
I haven’t been a Ys fan for very long, the only experience I have with the franchise is Memories of Celcetta, which I played before this one, and of course Seven. Surprisingly, this entry is better than the more "advanced" game on the Vita.Celcetta is superior when it comes to graphics, controls and maybe the music, but Seven is better in regards to the roster, the character designs, the plot, the dungeons, the skills, the synthesis system, the boss battles and nearly everything else. In the areas where it doesn’t surpass Celcetta, it still manages to do very well. Simply put, the game is a wonderful, fast-paced action RPG that can get quite repetitive, yes, but it’s still loads of fun.The only flaws are that there’s no voice acting, and that the MC Adol is the silent-type protagonist who never says anything. So if you’re not a fan of the Ys series, I guarantee you that this entry will win you over.
The story isn’t even worth paying any attention to, I skipped through everything. The gameplay is where this is at. The perfect game to play while on the go, combat was fun and I enjoyed the experience, even if the story had nothing to do with it (for me at least). The manual is also in color and has some nice art in it, it seems funny to bring up but with how they’ve all either been phased out or been made black/white and bland, it was a nice addition.
buah, este juego lo tiene todo, personajes jugables, una banda sonora increible y jefazos gigantescos que te haran sudar bastante.
very excellent rpg gameplay and it came in reasonable time and the package was in mint condition!!! if i could give more then 5 stars i would!!!
Sweet game
Very Nice game !!! Fast delivery !
I had never played a Ys game before, and I decided to give this a shot because a friend recommended it to me, and I’m so glad they did. (I just bought some older Ys games to try them out.)From a purely objective point of view, as I was not a fan of this series because of nostalgia, I have to say this game is one of the best RPGs you could own for your PSP.PROS:* Waiting times are extremely reasonable, almost non-existant. I never noticed them.* I adoreeee the controls. A lot of RPGs with this battle system have button mashing controls, and they can be awkward, but Ys 7 managed to plan them out -almost- perfectly.* The camera is perfect, it focuses exactly where you need it to and doesn’t leave you wondering where you just turned, like some games I’ve played. (IE: crisis core)* The battle system is fun and addictive once you get used to it.* There are side quests to add a bit more interest to the game, which often have rewards great enough for you to go out of your way. In addition, there are some optional bosses.* The “synthesis” system rewards you for collecting materials to make better weapons and armor. While you can just make it through the game straight out buying your weapons and armor, you will need the synthesis system to gain everyone’s final weapons.* You can perfect skills and unleash them once you have a set amount of SP, which is lovely, because simply hacking and slashing gets old pretty fast.* The visuals are stunning for a PSP game. It’s all in third dimension.
I was a year or so late to the Ys Seven party, but after playing it, I can’t believe that I waited so long to pick it up. I have been playing video games on a regular basis since 1987, but I am so impressed with this game that I would say that it is likely the best action RPG that I have ever played and that it is probably my overall favorite game released in the last 10-15 years. The most noteworthy feature of Ys Seven is its amazing battle system. Ys Seven uses a three-character party, with each character using different weapons that are strong or weak against different types of enemies. Normal melee attacks are crisp and quick, and using them, along with charged attacks, helps fill a gauge that allows you to use special attacks. Special attacks are learned through equipped weapons and are powered up through repeated use.Although the battle mechanics are relatively simple, they are executed flawlessly and make the game a joy to play. Combat is fast-paced, and the control is precise and responsive. The AI of the party members not under your direct control is excellent; your party members aid you but also do a great job of keeping themselves from getting killed. Overall, the battle system is by far the best that I have ever played in an action RPG, and I am thrilled to hear that Falcom’s upcoming Ys Celceta for Vita will use the same mechanics. The sound is another great strength of the game. Sound effects are substantial and robust, and they certainly add positively to the Ys.
A great game it’s better than I thought it would be I’ve been playing the Ys games since the first one on the old Sega master system back in the 1980s.
