My kids really enjoyed this book with it being similar to a “Choose your own adventure” book. The print and illustrations are all black & white. There are illustrations scattered throughout the book, but it’s mainly text. The story lines are well authored and do justice to the TV series and genre it follows.
My 9 year old really likes this book and being able to “choose the course” of the story- or just read it straight through. At different parts in the story it says if you want something particular to happen in that specific spot in the story then turn to the stated page (giving a couple scenario options) or just keep reading. It’s a pretty easy read for her and keeps her interest in reading it- which is great.
My daughter loves the Carmen Sandiego show on Netflix so I thought she’d enjoy this and she definitely likes it. The story is very detailed with facts about the locations that are educational and interesting. The age range for this book is 8-12 and the target grade level says 3-7. My daughter is closer to the lower level of both scales and she did think the story was a bit more complex. Her words were “it takes a long time to read but I still like it”.

We love the series (Netflix) so when Insaw there were choose you own adventure books I had to get them. Kept my eldest busy for a few evening working through each possible ending.
I am so happy to see these Carmen Sandiego books. I am a big fan of them because they are a fun way to learn a bit of geography while solving a mystery. I like this book because you can choose your own ending from 20 options so you can get a different experience with every read.
Very interesting book. It allows us to choose our next move which could all lead to one of the 20 different endings ,so you could read the book again and choose different moves from what you choose before.
The book for my granddaughter. When she received the book, she opened it immediately and started reading. This has become one of her favorites.
This is fun book for any fan of the series.
