This is one of my all time favorite Genesis games.It’s so action packed.It is based off the Frank Miller comic of the same name.This version on the Genesis is alot better than the SNES version.This version’s got blood and gore,the SNES version doesn’t.The game can be kinda tough at times,but there are alot of pickups and cool weapons,such as laser guns and machine guns.The graphics are great,and so is the music.I really wish they would re-make this game,for the current consoles.That would be so cool….but until they do,whenever that might be,we can always enjoy this old school classic in the meantime.Five stars all the way!

THE BEST !!! I extremely wish this was available for purchase on the play station store and x-box live arcade , especially an upgrade edition where the bosses in order from levels 1 to 10 are thug leader , T-1000 , robocop 2.0 , T-1 ( rise of the machines ) , E.D.209 , T-600 , the really muscular T-800 ( salvation ) T-E.D.209 ( aka T.E.D. ) , the T-X ( rise of the machines ) and skynet. Which reminds me , what were the names of the bosses at levels 4 , 6 , 7 , 8 ( T.E.D. )and 9 ? Who were the voice actors for this 1000% better genesis version ? And finally , if not a live movie of the game / comics , why not an animated ? And it better be 90 minutes or more long.
This game is fun if you like Robocop and curious about the Terminator.
Classic.. Yes, way better on Sega than snes. Blood and Graphics intact. Get it they don’t make this game anymore!
Great game, good old classic Sci-fi side scroll type the label is not too bad but not too good.Still happy with the game.
This game was probably one of the most violent and bloody I have ever played. Even by modern standards. But it was absolutely impossible to finish. And I played it with the infinite lives cheat too and it still took hours and hours.The premise of the game came from the Dark Horse comics of the same name in which Robocop’s technology is linked to Cyberdyne. In order to stop the technology (and even himself ever existing) Robocop must travel to the future and defeat Skynet. But not before taking on zillions of T-800s and T-1000s first.One of the coolest features of the game were the power-ups that modified Robocop’s armour or game him massive new weapons. And you needed them as you were under constant assault from all directions. The Sega Genesis version was the best as the Super-Nintendo had all the blood cut out of it. I hope one day this is reprogrammed for the PC.Virgin sure did a great job of making the comic book into a game and how cool would it be to have a Robocop vs Terminator movie. It would surely be the greatest thing ever!!!
I figured that I should right a review on one of the greatest old school sci-fi action games of all time. I’m definitely a big fan of both Terminator and Robocop and this game pleases me A LOT! Gamers like myself are known to love old games that they feel never get old and even review them, and this is worth a good review. I have to say that this game is a high praise because unlike all the other Robocop games that are a disgrace to the great character, this game brings the best out of him. This game is my second favorite old school Terminator game. T2: The Arcade Game is number 1, this game is number 2, and The Terminator for Sega Genesis is my 3rd and final favorite old school Terminator game. The story is excellent and it perfectly ties the two characters together. Basically make long story short, you play as Robocop and you shoot up punks, gangs, and occasional Terminators in present day Detroit, then go to the future, join the Resistance and battle Skynet and future Terminators. It has a great story line, the game play, music, controls, sound fx, and graphics are indeed a high praise. Robocop not only has his infamous hand gun, but a selection of great weapons he can acquire throughout the game. The difficulty is a good balance, not too frustratingly hard, but not too cheap and easy. One thing about this version that I love is the gore. This is the only old school Robocop and Terminator game that has heavy duty blood. This is a wonderful game that I could spend HOURS tal.
Great game, it is one of my all time favorite games of all time as you are the bad-ass Robocop as you fight your way through punks in the present in Detroit and the ocp building to the future to battle coldblooded Terminators and defeat Skynet and save the world. The game has excellent graphics like with all sega genesis games with a fair challange ( if you want it to be fair, press pause in the beginning of the game and press c,c,a,a,b,b,c,c,a,a,b,b and it will give you 54 lives) and some of the best music you will ever hear. Next to this my #1 favorite game of all time is Mortal Kombat on the sega genesis, but yeah, Robocop vs Terminator is a must have for sega players, buy it and hope you enjoy it
