PS2 RPG that is nice enough but you need to paly with it for a little while to get the hang of the game.
If you love fishing as much as i do, you will love this game . It can be a bit boring , For me the excitement was the catch.
good
I love this game I play it all the time it beings me back to my childhood its an awsome game
It came in good condition. Its a pretty good game.
Fun, fun and more fun, the story line is adorable and your character (which you choose) is cute. You open different towns and meet different people and complete different challenges. The fishing is so much fun and you solve mysteries, save love and you even cook. Loved the game.
River king is alot like Harvest moon but its a fishing rpg and a fun one, the fishing is very basic but fun, you can buy different baits or buy items to help you find your own bait, upgrade fishing rods etc, and has a very interesting story,so if your a fan of other Natsume games, like Harvest Moon you will enjoy this game, or maybe you want an rpg without the violence, then this one you will want to pick up, its a very good game.
It’s a very casual and relaxing game with just enough happening to keep you interested.
The graphics have a dated look to them. Indeed, it would seem that the game may actually predate "Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life", in which the the fishing channel calls the boy "Nick". You have to name your character (typical of all titles within the Harvest Moon series) at the beginning of the game. Many of the of the other characters in the town are simply called "Man" or "Woman". While this is a bit of a shortcoming, it is not real focus of the game. The real focus is fishing. This is where the game does well. I’ve played many games which involve fishing at some level, but this is one of the few in which fishing is the primary focus. Now if you looking for a game with a "real" fishing experience to it, move along. However, if you are looking for whimsical fishing adventure, this may just be what you are looking fun. From the self declared rival Naoko to dad and his dream of catching the elusive "River King", there is a lot of fun to be had. One factor that makes the game interesting is that, unlike the Harvest Moon titles, this game requires you to have bait to fish, and you will either have to find or buy bait. Couple in the fact that the fish do not sell for much, and it becomes a game of balancing resources and working hard to catch the elusive "River King".Aside for the dated graphics, this game really is quite enjoyable and has a good replay value. Too bad Natsume didn’t consider an updated release for the PS3.
I have just begun playing this game but I like it so far, a lot of interaction between characters and easy to play.
