Amidst the scorched sands of ancient Persia, there is a legend spun in an ancient tongue. It speaks of a time borne by blood and ruled by deceit. It is within this war torn land that a young Prince discovers a magic dagger. Embark on a journey of scorched sands and ancient legends. Guide the Prince on his quest to reverse the curse by using the Sands of Time, a power which allows you to erase the past, see into the future and slow down the present. He must tread these dangers carefully, however. Because in this world, there is only one rule: master the Sands, or be buried.

Playing this game was definitely an experience. The music is fun and the things that this character can do are quite astonishing. It makes you want to go out and become a free runner! It’s pretty straight forward, both in storyline and game play. There isn’t much exploring going on; you just do the little puzzle and it unlocks the next thing, then you do that little puzzle – but they made it really fun somehow. And the little dialogues that the character has with himself are funny, so that keeps things interesting. All in all, the game is very simple, but fun. So if you’re feeling lazy but still want to play something entertaining, this is a good choice. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I ordered this for someone else at their request so I’m guessing it’s very much enjoyed. I know the shipping was quite prompt.
POP:SoT is a rare Masterpiece, offering the Perfection in design of characters, storyline, environment, and puzzles and challenges. Don’t miss it and check it out for yourself – you’ll agree that it is THE MOST beautifully rendered, magical CG world that immerses you completely. After you finish, you’ll feel a withdrawal pang for leaving its lyrical and haunting beauty. I also loved the ending (which I won’t give away), with its mix of heartache and hope.Pluses: Stunning architectural designs and CG environment that rival the best you’ve been on Lord-Of-the-Rings movie series. In fact, the ‘Climbing the Morning Tower’ episode in POP is better than anything I’ve seen in movies. Characters move with such grace and athleticism, it’s a pleasure to watch. The storyline has a great emotional power, and as you guide the Prince through the numerous sufferings, you marvel at his courage, resourcefulness, and sheer nobility. You also admire the determination of the Princess, who often stays to fight when you (the Prince) feel like running away from the scary, murderous hordes of monsters. The puzzles are laid out with such intelligence and originality, but enough hints are offered that you can finish the game without using one of those overpriced guidebooks.Minuses: Flaws are relative minor but hugely annoying, since they often come at the most critical moments. There are important clues spoken during the cut scenes, but the conversation is very hard to hear unless you want to.
This is an action/adventure game that anyone will enjoy. The technology, plot and artistic direction of POP sands of time combine to create an enthralling gameplaying experience. I usually HATE role-player or adventure games for videogame consoles, but I used to play the original Prince of Persia as a kid, so I had to buy this for nostalgia’s sake. This game takes the spirit of the original into the new millenium by adding the princess’ character, the rewind feature, and new abilities for the Prince, such as the power to run up and across walls Matrix-style, swinging on bars and climbing on columns. Even if you usually can’t stand this type of game, go rent it first and give it a chance: it is like a logic puzzle, fighting game, and animated movie all in one. Playing each new level is a pleasant surprise.
Thanks for the game, it works perfectly and there are no scratches on the back of it. Case in perfect condition too.
One of the best game ever now just try to find a better gameonce you play this game all the other will look dumb.I’m waiting for any new release by the same team just check the credit for building this game like a movie cast.Great graphic, story lines, music everything is A+++ now just name me one game that is at good as this one
Thanks to the shop, got it fairly earlier than estimated. Came in great condition, and in original game case. No problems with gameplay or anything, haven’t finished it yet, but I’m sure it will be flawless..I also ordered "Warrior Within", look for my review soon, and I plan on getting "The Two Thrones", so there’ll be another review there.
When Ubisoft sees success in a franchise, it doesn’t waste any time preparing a sequel–as proven by the many games that start with “Tom Clancy’s&” on the market in recent years. Best of all, the sequels are usually as good, if not better than, their predecessors. That’s certainly the case with this year’s Prince of Persia, subtitled Warrior Within. On the surface, Warrior Within could be classified as a second part to last year’s reinvention of the Prince of Persia franchise, Sands of Time. Those who played Sands will be comfortable getting the hero to do his trademark wall runs, jumps from column to column, and other acrobatics. They’ll also feel right at home when it comes time to fight, as a mix of sword fighting and gymnastic moves to keeps enemies off-balance. However, instead of just making new levels for the prince to romp through, the developers have deepened the gameplay with more fighting moves (including some cool throws and other close-up combat), dual weapon wielding, a big selection of weapons (some with bonus effects), and–perhaps adding the most fun to the game–a broader catalog of time powers. The character is easy to control, but learning the large quantity of combos makes for a highly rewarding game. The designers have also gone for a darker mood within the game, as well as for the title protagonist. It’s clear that his 2003 adventure has left him more than a little pissed, something he surely takes out on each and every baddie who crosses his path with.
This game got the gold award from EGM and high ratings from every game magazine out there. It even recieve Game of the Year honors from EGM over KOTOR and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! So why is it sitting on the shelves of game stores, collecting dust? The game’s only drawbacks are a lousy save system, and sometimes(not always) cheesy sound effects. In the game, you unlock the sands of time, and steal the dagger of time. This ends up sending you on a quest to undo the mistake you have made and you encounter many foes along the way. The graphics are flawless, even on a PS2, the fighting system is great, the controls are almost an afterthought, you dont even have to think about which button you need to press, and the puzzles are enthralling. Do not let the low sales fool you, this is a great game on the verge of being deemed a "failure" in a business world that relies on sales. Do not let such a greatgreat game go the way of many other underrated games such as Ico, Kya: Dark Lineage, and Beyond Good and Evil. Buy it and you will not regret it.
WICKED GOOD GAME
