I was a kid when the first Donkey Kong’s for SNES came out. This one is an excellent tribute to them. Music: A++++ a lot of remakes and new stuff that is all really well done. Controls are flawless. Graphics are ok, to be honest I miss the rendered SNES graphics. Gameplay is tough! A lot of new and creative ideas went into this and the game is definitely worth buying.
Fantastic game, my 7 year old plays it but has to work at it – its not easy. The only downside to it is that it is a 1 player game.
It’s the best game I’ve ever played

Love it works works greatðŸ‘
Brilliant retro gaming.
My son had asked for the newer verson for christmas but the price and the fact that he had never played them before put me off. So I opted for this earlier version thinking that they may follow a story. But that doesn’t matter as soon as my son played on it he forgot all about the newer version and loves this now.
Kids are very chuft with this and have already had hours of fun with it. And I love it too. And very. Happy with the delivery too as it came within a day or so of purchasing it
Would have been even better if it had been a 2 player game. It is still a good game a poses a good challenge.
I had been wanting this game after I saw it on the gameCube, but I didn’t get it because of the drums needed. I bought because of the new Wii controls game. I would give it 5 stars, if not for the clunky controls. DK is hard to move around and sometimes when sharp turns are required, he won’t turn quickly and it is annoying. Also the screen backs up to far sometimes and makes DK too small to see. The game starts off close up and nice and big, but then zooms out?! It’s not short, don’t listen to people saying it is. There are over 50 levels, but not all are unlocked at first, and they are hard to unlock them all. I have not unlocked them all, and I still have the main boss fight left to do. You need to collect as many bananas as you can in each level, then when you are done all the bananas are tallied up and you see if you got a crest or not, crests are needed to unlock all levels or get 100% on the game. The graphics are decent. The boss fights are beatable, however may take you a long time! There are little tutorials inbetween each level that show you secrets and how to do various things in the levels to get bananas if you didn’t find every single banana in a level. Overall, it’s worth a try if you like Donkey Kong and platformers.
