NCAA 13, while not perfect, still remains the most playable football game, in my estimation. The big news for this year's version is the Heisman mode, where you take former Heisman winners and stick them on the team of your choosing-seeing if you can win the Heisman with them. I didn't actually find that mode all that interesting or fun-I still prefer the Dynasty mode. RG3 put up insane numbers every game I had him. Additionally, the Heisman players can slow down time (think bullet time) to better decision make. Not really necessary, IMO.Pros-**new catching animations (finally). can also lead receivers easier.**Throwing on the run is much more accurate, realistic**Realistic ESPN presentation with scores, updates, etc.**Harder to just heave a long bomb and outrace the DB against good teams/players (my main gripe against Madden!)Cons-*Injuries still too frequent, especially with running QB's and Option backs*Graphics seem to have taken a hit-Helmets look constantly wet instead of shiny, dreds look terrible and often defy gravity.*I sometime like to sim on Defense (I'm terrible), but it now doesn't always show how I got the ball back (INT, etc). Worked fine in NCAA 12.*Huge blocks of fans wearing the same exact outfits (MLB The Show sets a high standard).*Can tell some new commentary was added, but not at the same resolution of the older comments. Sounds way off.All in all, it's what you'd expect if you'd played the games the past few years. If you're looking for update.

I haven't played NCAA in years. I was hesitant because of all the negative reviews. I don't play online. Other than the usually freezes a game has, I am pleased with it. It's a little addictive as well.

Such a fun game! The shop was super nice too. We accidentally received the same game but for an Xbox, which we don't have, so he sent us the correct game and let us keep the other one. We gave it to our nephew. I would totally buy from him again. Really quick processing and shipping on both games. And both games were sealed and worked great.

Always liked NCAA better than Madden. I enjoy the recruiting, the ability to realign conferences, etc. The off-season stuff is as enjoyable as the gameplay itself. Only problem is the name generator. A lot of times they give unlikely names to players. I don't want to sound like I'm stereo-typing, but a player named Abdul Jefferson isn't likely to be a kicker from South Dakota. Also kind of wish the schools would recruit based on actual criteria. A school like Duke or Stanford will not just recruit a dummy from Alabama, likewise, few 2 stars out of Idaho are going to LSU.I do wish you still had the option to play as a FCS school, which was possible on the PS2 versions.

The game is fun, even for a first time football video game player. As I haven't played much Madden, I can't compare, but at $18, NCAA 13 is completely worth it.The only problem is that at some times during the gameplay, it doesn't go so smooth. For example, when returning a punt, sometimes my player doesn't run up to the target, even when I don't move them. Also, on some crucial plays, and two point conversions, my quarterback gets sacked right away, and the other team runs right through the linemen. Overall however, you get a fun game for a cheap price.

This is by far the best NCAAF ever, i've bought every NCAA since 2000. Whether it is the new heisman mode or just paying a quick game with your friends. You will be impressed. The only thing EA needs to touch up is the graphics, those could use a little work when you compare it to a game like Madden.

NCAA Football 13 is a good playable game, but really nothing new. The graphics are still ok, I notice they try to make it more realistic but some of the movements seem unrealistic and cartoonish. The changes to the game are ok, but no depth and WOW factor here. EA needs to break out of the box and make something no one can keep their hands off of and everyone is staying up late to play!!

It is the best sports game on the market in my opinion. That includes Madden. The Heisman feature takes NCAA 13 to another level. It allows you to select your favorite Heisman winner and play with him on your favorite team. I would like to see more college legends on next year's game. However, I still miss Lee Corso's commentary.

I have been playing this series of EA NCAA Football for 5 years or so. It's easily my most-played game I own. To be clear, I typically play Dynasty or games vs friends. I don't play online, so I cannot really comment on that aspect of the game. I enjoy NCAA because it is more diverse than Madden; more offensive sets, and unique defensive alignments. (4-2-5, 3-3-5). Typically I play at Heisman level and set the CPU/USER Defenses to 100. I don't like having 300-yard rushers and 85-77 scores. Recruiting is improved with added scouting feature as well as the calls. Loading of games does seem slower but it doesn't affect gameplay. I like the added feature on offense where the receiver's ICON won't show until he looks back towards QB while completing route. Running and cutting are more realistic taking some momentum into account rather than having everyone change directions as if they were Barry Sanders. Defensive alignment is much better in regards to disguising zone defense. The icing of the kicker was a great touch too. It actually freezes the kicker's graph so you have to do the game-winner on instinct as far as timing. Another improvement I noticed is when I would play teams that use no-huddle offense, my guys line up in time. Last year I had to take an offside penalty or call a timeout to avoid it. The announcing is good, not too repetative. Overall, if you like/love NCAA this will not sway you, but the recruiting/gameplay/variety of offense & defense makes th.

This was a must get game because of the $45 price and the day of release shipping and I'm really enjoying the game so far and it is very fun. This was my first retrolio purchase and I would rate it a perfect 5 but there was one thing I did not receive. That would be the Promotional code for the special uniforms on certain teams. This is not a big deal for me but it would've been a nice addition. I'm not sure what happened to the code as it did not come within the package or I don't know where to even find it but if there would be a way I could get a new one or a copy of the old one would be much appreciated :) Thanks alot retrolio and keep the great deals coming !

Such a big improvement over the previous release, the high jumping line back now only have about a 3 foot vertical instead of a 6 foot!! The passing has been upgraded in a new way, you will pay for throwing into coverage as interception per game are much higher than ever. Rarely will the ball just hit a defender in the hands. The new modes are super cool, and the new recruiting process is GREAT!! If you like 2012 or 2011, you are gonna LOVE THIS VERSION!!!

For me it always get a 5-star rating due to the fact that it's the only college football game on the market. I think that they are making headway in the in-game features, but not with the graphics. Madden is always ahead of them in this respect so I don't understand why they don't just use those graphics for this game.The ability to bring past heisman's into todays games is a really neat feature.My biggest gripe is the speed of play. This years games is really slow in terms of player, and overall game speed.

This is the best one I think I have ever played thus far in this series. I like all of the customized things you can do such as switching conferences at the end of each season instead of waiting on an invite....the recruiting function seems to be more authentic....it also seems like a better job was done on creating the playbooks....and making the images of the stadiums, apparel, etc. look extremely realistic.....the only complaint I have is what happened to Lee Corso.....he is the Dick Vitale of NCAA football!

This game is addicting at times. As with every NCAA football game, I am predominantly hooked on the dynasty mode and sometimes RTG as well. Albeit there aren't many major changes vs. last year, I can appreciate the ability to create a school online.My major gripe is that the graphics don't seem to be as sharp as last year's version ie. on replays and highlight reels.Overall a solid game with high replay value. Much rather play this vs. Madden (until they make a reputable edition)

This is the best college football game ever. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is because there are some minor bugs that cause freezing in different game modes. I have had the game for a month and only had it freeze 3 times so it is not bad but it does happen. Gameplay itself is amazing I love this game. The recruiting in Dynasty mode is fun and a big improvement from years past.

Great college football game! I didn't get to play NCAA '12, but this game is MUCH better than the 2011 version. The dynasty mode has some moderate improvements, the overall gameplay is better, and I love the build a legend mode!

This is a great game. They have improved the graphics and game play. There are still a few glitches but overall a good game.

I actually like this one better than 14. As far as Im concerned, give me a better looking game, more fun, and keep the playing the same, the buttons are fine, the mechanics are fine, just make it more full of stuff, therefore, since 14 made some pretty drastic changes, which changes the way you play, and its gives you a really different feel of the game, more like madden, less like NCAA, AND since 14 is the last entry because the series is finished, due to problems with the league, THIS NCAA, 13, is probable the high point of the series, the pinnacle of the creation.

Gameplay is great. The new catching and throwing is a nice touch. It might take some practice if your not a NCAA regular. Did get one uniform update for free. It was a pretty big one but you will have to pay for those fancy fighting Irish uniforms. Over all it's a four stat game just like it usually is.

I ordered this for my husbandâ€™s birthday with the concern that it would be just like NCAA 12 (which means it would be a waste of money) but he said it has different features and the graphics are much better. I'll have to take his word for it ;)

I actually went out and found the game at a mom and pop game shop. I love it. Wish it did not get lost in the mail. The shop was very good and refunded my money i will be using them again they have a couple of games i want.

Not the best of the NCAA series , but a good addition. Game play not to hard to get. Difficulty of the game is nice. Like that you have to actually make the right plays, throws and runs, to beat the defense.

An above average improvement from the last NCAA Football. Some kinks like always, but a lot of fixes from '12, which I thought was inconsistent in game play and mechanics. Heisman mode is unnecessary in my opinion and I don't expect it to return.

2nd to last edition of the EA Sports NCAA games. I probably spent 250-500 hours playing this when it came out and the NCAA line will be missed.I love the Dynasty mode and enjoy battling with a new D1A school and try to take them from 1 star to 6 stars in less than a 10 years and I always enjoy the challenge.

Love this game. I have gotten it every year. The special features that I received for pre-ordering were great. The price was the same as every other store. I still play this game. The thing that I didn't like so much with this year's version was that it occasionally froze or wouldn't save to the servers.

Don't even wait to get this game because it is so good and upgraded from NCAA 12! I mean Heisman Challenge is fun and reaction time is amazing! Yes the commentary is annoying as always but you can just turn off ur sound and make your own commentary. Road to Glory is much harder now which is extremely needed and receivers look back and there aren't any more crazy DB's. And best of all they are constantly bringing you updates to the game. I would strongly recommend this for any college football fan or football fan.

I have been an avid player on the NCAA Football game series. The game play is crisp and the game play options are vast from quick play, season, and the newest features of playing and trying to beat records of college greats. The 2 issues I have had overall withthe game is this:1. retrolio offered a pre-order exclusive for combat uniforms for select teams. Neither retrolio nor Playstation customer service people could answer how to access this downloadable material-FAIL.Muchless they couldn't answer if I had to be signed and use my net usage to play with the combat uniforms.-FAIL. While this isn't a fault of the game directly it did drawn back on some of the enjoyment.2. Perhaps in the future, PSN will have an array of uniforms to download or the game series will offer more uniform selection (maybe for achieving certain goals? or something along those lines) But I'd love to see that add as the future.I've read plenty of the forums on the games website and lots of people complaining about what it's not. I think it's fair to wish for more-always. But if you want to grade fairly look how it compares to the last game in the series.It's a quaility product and it's put together by people who love college football and video games-and it shows.

I will have to agree with some of the other reviews concerning that this game is basically the same game from the past two years. With that in mind I gave this game five stars for one vast improvement over the last two incarnations, and that is the scheduling for dynasty. The first season of dynasty has always (for the most part) been correct as far as schedules go for teams for the past two games NCAA 11, and 12, but once you went to season two and beyond the schedules where very much off, i.e. playing teams in your conference two years or more in a row at home. For example I will use USC, in NCAA Football 11, and 12; USC would play UCLA at home for two years. That has been fixed in NCAA 13. To some that might not be a big deal, but for me it was huge. So again with that in mind I have given this game five stars.

This is one of the better versions of the NCAA Football series. Gameplay is great, no more Lee Corso, and the recruiting system is at its best. However, the one feature I loved the most about NCAA is no longer in the game. With the new Infinity engine for Madden 13, NCAA can no longer export draft classes to the NFL. I was very upset to find this out after finishing my first year dynasty. Hoping this comes back next year or I probably will not be purchasing this game again.

im not really fan of college football, but i do like football games (i had bought every madden from 2000 to 2011) and madden was no longer doing it for me. i like this game over this years madden mainly because i think its just a more refined game with. better animations (tackles in my opinion look one thousand times better than in madden). game play is pretty simple for novices with all the standard modes to choose from.

Love the Game, it is similar to NCAA football 12, the refs are a little more accurate. What I hate it the Field or side judge marks a play down first down and really the linesman's should be there and the field and side judges usually mark bad. It is getting better.

This is a great game and a great step-up from the previous year. The Heisman mode is very fun to relive through old players. It is a shame that it did not have the real physics that Madden got, otherwise it would have been nearly perfect. Overall, the presentation continues to impress and I would recommend this product.
