Having played a variety of NCAA Football videos using different platforms over the years, I found the 2012 XBox 360 edition to be the best one yet. EA sports continues to stay on the cutting edge in graphics. However, I was a little disappointed the game no longer contains legendary teams from year’s past, or any Division 1AA (Football playoff division)teams either. But overall I thought it was an entertaining video. Full disclosure, this was my first purchase for the XBox 360 platform. Prior to that I used XBox.
I heard it is a great game, but I haven’t played it since NCAA Football 12 was given as a Christmas Gift to my sister’s husband.

My personal favorite NCAA game, really wish they would bring it back though. The Madden series is getting stale.
My son loves this game he plays it every chance he get. Thr only bad part is he cant play with other ppl on line but we new that when purchasing it

First of all, this is the very first NCAA Football game i’ve ever bought or played. That said, I am reviewing this game based off of a “first time” playing experience without having the previous years to compare to. So, this review is for anybody who has not played an NCAA Football game or hasn’t played one in quite some time.As a long time player of the Madden series, I have decided to give the NCAA Football series a try for the first time and i’m not disappointed! To me, Madden has become somewhat stale and played out. In fact, it’s more of a roster tweak than anything, with a few minor changes here and there. Also, I can’t comment on whether NCAA has changed much in the last several years. This is simply my review of my first introduction to the series.Game modes: There are quite a few of them. Dynasty mode is like a franchise mode and the fact you can play online with friends is very cool.Also, I really am enjoying Road To Glory mode, where you can start out from high school and become an all-time college great. What’s really cool is that you can create your very own high school and picks the colors and stadium. Nothing complex, but very nice additions that add to the modes presentation. Also, you try to earn your way into one of your top 3 colleges on your list. My QB received a ton of interest from bottom of the line schools all the way to the top powerhouses in the country. The one drawback is, you don’t get to pick the plays that you run, although, you can always cal.
Let me say first that the last NCAA game I’ve owned is NCAA 08 for Wii, so this game didn’t have a ton of competition. I have however, played just about every years game. so I break it up into categories.Gameplay: 4/5Same as last year. I do think the new tackling system adds what was needed. The same problems exist to me though. I feel as if I’m playing the CPU, not a real team, which is my ultimate goal for the series. Coverage seems like the players are always tight on your player and it is very hard to find a wide open man deep.Detail: 4/5Fans in the stands are so unreal, it makes me unhappy every year. 3D grass adds alot, its so awesome. Celebrations are very repetitive and unreal occasionally. Traditions are pretty cool, but they really could pay attention to some of the other schools. Being a MSU fan, I also wanted cowbells.Game Modes:3.5/5Dynasty is a 5Road To Glory Offense is A 4Road To Glory Defense Is A 2Plays are impossible to gain skill points, ’nuff saidThe Game IS Worth It Though
