Remember when games had simple controls with engaging gameplay and catchy music that you couldn’t get out of your head? You will remember if you play Loco Roco. It’s good, non-specific culture, fun.
Fun. My son memorized the song-who knows what language it is.
After downloading a free, single stage demo from the PSP site, I fell in love with Loco Roco. It’s very cute and very Japanese, with perky, happy songs that have no meaning to us, but are fun to listen to.It’s a very creative game, one of the things that I really like about it, as you’re this little blob that runs around collecting blossoms and finding your friend “Mui Mui,” who says “Mui Mui,” which is brings a smile of accomplishment to my face and a neat feeling of hearing something cute.It’s a short game with only three worlds, and it’s disappointingly easy, and even a novice gamer could go through it in a day or two without dying. At first I thought it was impossible to die, but once the game became harder, I found out that it’s possible. The overall theme is the same: there’s the cartoony happy generic stage, the ice stage, the jungle stage, the spooky stage and the spartan blue world, for lack of a better name.It’s worth the $30, and after a break, I intend to go back to it and start playing from the beginning. It’s a game that’s good for your mental health: there’s no violence, the Miu Miu make you smile, and the music puts you in a good mood. Since I just bought my PSP, it’s a pleasant and unique change from all the masculine shooting games that are predominant with the PSP.
For simple platforming, this game is one of the best. It’s happy with PLENTY to unlock. The soundtrack is amazing. The graphical style is fluid and appeasing to the eyes. It’s got a lot of personality, and the gameplay is solid.
My daughter loves this and the Loco Roco 2 games. She says it is fairly easy, but a lot fo fun. She is a teen, but has been playing them for a few years, so even older elementary school aged kids would be able to play these.

If you like an easy to pick up and play game with bright animation and a simple, but fun gameplay of being able to jump and tilt the world to get your locoroco’s to their goal, then this will make your PSP quite happy! The locoroco series is a very fun and entertaining one that I continue to buy and love for it’s simple charm and ease of play.
This game is really fun when you just want to zone out on something. It becomes more challenging with every level.
We bought this for our 6 year son and the whole family waits in line to play it. It’s so cute and fun!
