Trusted with the dangerous task to destroy an ancient magical ring that threatens all that is good, Frodo is forced to leave his peaceful home. But the ring wants to be found and the road to Mount Doom, the only place where it can be destroyed, will be perilous and riddled with Orcs and fouler things.

Bought this for my 8 year old for his stocking this Christmas. He loves it. Keeps him entertained on long road trips. It’s not too difficult to play and there are lots of tips that pop up to help kids get through the different levels. The graphics are pretty good as well. We play it on a DC2 and it works well on that device.
If they made lord of the rings into a comedy this is it. A fun and silly time killer while offering a bit of a challenge!
Love this game
My step son likes it
My almost 10 yr old son really enjoys this game. He’s never complained that it’s too hard or too easy.
Great Price
I own a large number of the Lego DS games- this one differs from any of my others. (All of the Star Wars, Two Indiana Jones, Battles, Batman) This subtle difference in movement and control of the characters is fine once you adjust, but the lack of any control over the story progress is bumming me out. As soon as I finish one part of the story, it goes right into the next part. I kind of like the clear cut "open area" of the other games- wandering through the Batcave or the bar in Mos Eisly is a good place to practice movement and a chance to plan. The game is still fun and it is pretty clear what it wants you to do. It’s not a bad game, just not quite as fun as the rest of the titles in this series. The voices are from the movie (at least to my ears) and I have a better grip on the storyline of the books and movies. If you like the movies, you’ll appreciate this.
Version DSGot the game for only $8 so not a bad price for what you get.Pros: lighthearted combat suitable for the family and cut scenes with great sound .Hits most points from the movies pretty well, even has things from the books hidden through the game.Cons: extremely frustrating puzzle and camera issues happen sometimes.Bugs, like game freezing or falling through the floor. Luckily this game saves often.Would buy if less than $10 or you really like LotR
