This was one of my favorite games when I was younger. The best mode to play is Quest mode, which is a Zelda-like dungeon crawl game. Though Arcade mode (aka the original Gauntlet) is pretty fun too. Very well made, and I was surprised anyone still had a Gauntlet 4 cartridge that worked as perfectly as this one.

I’ve come to enjoy this game. I did not like it much at first, but the quest mode saves the day with it’s RPG-esque stat grinding and interesting level designs. Good music too. Surprisingly well made for a tengen game.
