Love this version of tactics.
I had my copy stolen a few years ago along with my GBA Micro, but I’m SO happy to have it back. I love this game! Awesome product and shop.
Although the job system and story are not as deep as the original PlayStation version, this game is still extremely fun and I have spent tons of time on it already. The combat is really satisfying and customizing your team can go a lot of ways. There’s a high degree of replay ability. I would even say that the combat is more balanced than the original (e.g. There’s no Calculator class or T.G. Cid that just destroys everything single-handedly). The introduction of new races is nice and helps to diversify the jobs; that is, there are less jobs per race than the original, but with 5 races, it about evens out.If you’re a fan of the original I very highly recommend you check this out.
Thank You
This game is the best piece of software you can get for gameboy the amount of customization in this game is obscene you team is 100% your team even though my mates and I tend to play games quite similar this is the only one where we end up with different teams. I Live in NewZealand and this is the only place I could get it as no one will sell it here. This game is a must buy for gba and up owners
I have had this game before, but it was a long time ago and I never got much of a chance to play it. Now that I have little else to do and am traveling some,I can say that this game is a great distraction for long bus rides.Story line 5/5The games story is semi-predictable, and childish. despite this, the story rings true of the FF series.Game play 5/5The First thing you do is go through a small tutorial, and learn the simple yet in depth system behind the game. With the addition of the Law system you can truly be unstoppable.Graphics 5/5Consider that this is a GBA game, then think back to Final Fantasy 6. you have similar graphics, if not better. The color scheme is pretty interesting.Sound: 4/5The sound track is good, but small. the repetitive battle theme may get on some peoples nerves.
Great game I suck at
im sorry i bought this awhile back im happy with my purchase i didn’t mean to take so long to review.i would buy from t/his user again.
GameplayFFTA is a “tactical RPG.” The “tactical” part comes from the way it arranges its battles: Characters are arranged on a 3 dimensional grid and take turns moving and taking action. Movement and positioning is particularly important – attacking from the side or rear are more likely to succeed. Elevated positions increase the range of ranged attacks. The focus on maneuver is what sets tactical rpg battles apart from traditional rpg ones (where the focus is primarily on timing.)The “RPG” part comes from the ability to grow your characters over time. Like its predecessor, FFTA allows you to change the character’s job. Reflecting this, you are rewarded with two types of experience: one that affects your base stats and one that affects your job stats.Tactical elementsFFTA introduces several new tactical elements that set it apart from its predecessor. It simplifies some aspects: Gone is the delay between executing a particular attack and having that attack complete (like casting a spell or having your dragoon jump). Instead, attacks are completed when they are executed. No more wasting an attack because your target has moved out of the way. However, the game also rachets up the difficulty by introducing laws – rules imposed on the battlefield that prohibit you from using certain weapons, or taking certain actions. You can chose to disobey these rules, but doing so may remove the offending character from battle.Strategic ElementsOn the strategic side, FFTA deepens the role of.
I have two copies of FFTA in my personal collection and Ive been wanting to get another CAUSE ITS JUST THAT GOOD. Problem is that there are two versions of this game. One is the first year of production edition, the next is the reprint second edition. The first editions run beautifully and Ive NEVER had a problem with them, but every one of the second edition Ive bought (all used cause its near impossible to find a reasonable priced new copy nowadays) have been prone to deleting save games and not being able to save AT ALL. And with a game like FFTA that has a close to an hour long unskipable opening sequence, that is a terrible thing. Not to mention that the cartridges themselves seem of second best quality, fitting together improperly. There are two ways you can tell the difference, but both are found on the sticker on the front of the cartridge. The first ed. games cartridge sticker is only black and white with only the title on the front and has the product code (found on the bottom right corner) AGB-AFXE-USA. The second ed. cartridge sticker has a picture of the group of main characters on the front and has the product code AGB-ATKE-USA. So AFXE is a first ed. while ATKE is a second. Now I’m not saying EVERY SINGLE ATKE copy of FFTA is broken, but that has been my experience. So if you plan on buying a copy, CONTACT THE shop AND FIND OUT WHICH VERSION IT IS. And make sure they have TESTED IT, AND I MEAN REALLY TESTED IT. Just turning it on to see if the title screen pops up.
