I bought this as a Fathers day gift for my husband. We had Champions of Norrath, Balders gate and Baldurs gate II. We needed another RPG game and this one worked. This shipped in time with the expedited shipping and was packaged well. The disc was clean and was shipped as advertised.
Have the first one. Needed this one to complete set. Great game. Works perfectly.
This game is awsome, especially if you want to play with more than one person. Even better than the first one.
My husband and I played this years ago and I jumped at the chance to purchase it again! Game play is great for a PS2 system game! With the extension up to 4 people can play at the same time or even fight each other in the arena. You can also transfer your character(s) from the first Champions game…
I LOVED this game, its more fun the more people you have! But the real fun isn’t in the story line. Speaking of which, the only point in playing ANY mode beyond adventurous is for better equipment and stats, since the game play is EXACTLY the same for each level, and it gets REALLY monotonous. But since I only spent 25 bucks on this game, I definitely got my money’s worth and had a blast until I got bored of it. If you want a good hack and slash game, give this one a go!
Still standing as one of the playstation rpg greats alongside titles such as Balder’s Gate, CoN: Return to Arms is a very good game overall. Loaded with two more classes to play as (I might add that they do not feel like a copycat of any of the others), making a total of seven to choose from. Tons of different spells that stay relevent through out the game keep leveling a constant goal, even if you did just level. Each class has it’s own battle style that feels unique. Clerics mostly use magic, but have an arsenal of both offensive and defensive spells, while mages are almost guaranteed dead if they get mobbed. There are issues though that keep the game from being great. First is the gear obtaining. Being a level 35 running around in level 21 gear is not cool. I find myself almost always reverting to using my level 80 to cheat gear my characters every ten or so levels because the gear randomly dropped inside the planes is so pathetic. As example, I’m working through a zone that anyone under the level 15 barrier would have no shot at and the gear dropping is still stuff I could have worn or used at level 3 or 5.Second, the game is almost completely linear. Within the first two minutes of the first level a woman stops you and invites you to join the evil side. That is your only option through the whole game. Either be a hero or be the resurector of the personification of hate. It wouldn’t be so bad if they actually had different levels for those choices, but the differences are.
Better than the first game. Enjoy the playthrough so far. Definitely worth the buy
