When I first heard about Britney’s Dance Beat, I was totally excited that my idol had a PS2 game coming out! I immediatly started saving up my money for it. When I had enough, I went out and got it. The first day I didn’t really like it. It was boring. So I wanted to take it back. Then I thought ‘I don’t really know how to play it and maybe I was just mistaking my not knowing how to play it for boredom. Well, I tried it again and this time I read how to play it. Now, I’m addicted! Maybe you might want to rent it first and learn how to play before you buy it so you don’t mistake your not knowing how to play for boredom. I totally give this game a five. It is amazing. :)
Wow! I recently got the opportunity to preview this game, and I must say that it is incredible! While I love Britney, I was dreading her video-game debut. I was wrong.This game is very original and fun. I’m impressed.The controls seem complex to learn, but they’re really a snap. The game gradually gets harder and harder, and before you know it, you’re playing it like you made it.Anyway, I strongly suggest purchasing this game, even if you’re not a Britney fan. You never know, it might ‘convert’ you. ^_^.
Let me just start off with a little story of how I ended up with this game. Back in 2002, I remember seeing this game at Walmart. I was only 16 when the game came out and I was sort of a closet Britney Spears fan. I wanted the game, but I figured how embarrassed I would be if I would have walked around with that game in my hand. However, fast forward to 2007 when I saw this game at Gamestop, in the bargain bin, no less. I was hesitant to finally get it but I did and the embarrassment finally eased.Anyway, as for the game itself, I thought that the game was a decent game. Sure, some people would be turned off at the fact that it has Britney Spears in it. I’m still somewhat of a fan nowadays, though I can admit that she has her problems and this game came out in a different era when she was still huge. The game itself is a dance/rhythm game. You don’t play as Britney herself, but rather as an up-and-coming dancer who she would pick to tour with her. It’s a fun game, but it can get repetitive, also there is some difficulty in some areas on how to keep up with the patterns but you can get used to it after a while. Also, there are only 5 Britney songs, basically 5 of her known hits from that time anyway. The songs can get repetitive after a while. If you don’t like her music, you can mute it.Bottom line, don’t judge a book by its cover. I was surprised back in 02 to actually read some positive reviews for this game. It’s a not a bad game by any means. I recommend it to fans of the.
I loved this game when it came out and was happy to find it used for such a good deal. Not a scratch on the disk amd it works perfect.
I got the game and I like the game because of 2 reasons:1. I’m a britney fan2. the graphics are very good and it’s looks like it’s real…I reccomend this game for everyone it’s cool it’s fun and it’s awesome!!!so you listen to my advice and go ahead and get it now!!!
This game is totally ridiculous, but I appreciate the trip down memory lane that it provides me.
If you love DDR but are bored of the game mechanics, you should try this game. It is pretty challenging, and the graphics aren’t bad for when it was made! Britney songs may be a turn off to some, but if you like them, definitely get the game!
This game is a blast. I’m not a big Britney Spears fan, but the music really lends itself to this type of game. This is a good workout and a lot of fun if you have two dance pads to compete with another person.
This game is fun and simple. Not much to it just some oldie britney music and a chance to dance to it. You can also play w a controller.Only a handful of songs and nothing challenging. Good for younger kids.
i gave this game 4 stars because its averageat first it was really kewl but after playing it 4 a few hours u get bored. when u first play the game its really really easy but towards the end…it gets extremely hard i can only get up to audition 8. there’re only 12 leves and 5 songs nd 6 characters. Also everytime u choose a new character to play you havta start new game.. id rather choose a new character withot starting a game. Also u can’t see the commands that it gives u becuz there’r too any bckround colors too many things r going on to see wut ur dancer is doing… the graphics r crisp and very smooth nevertheless. the dancers move smoothly and cleanly. also the extra fotage and rehearsal footages r amazing… overall good game but lacks in length
