simply awesome .short campaign but amazing one
Considering the great price I paid for this game, I am very happy with Ace Combat for the Nintendo 3ds. The 3D function adds a depth perception which makes the flying and dogfighting really fun! The game controls pretty good and adds a feature that lets you maneuver behind an enemy with a press of button. Hardcore players may chose to ignore that feature as it makes the game a little easy sometimes.The BadThe game is a little short. But a branching story mode with optional missions adds a little replay value.The story is forgettable. Ace Combat is known for having some really compelling stories, but this is pretty cut and dry. You fight the “rebels” but their motives are never even explored.The GoodThe game looks great! The 3D really good too.Lots of different jets that you can customize and work to unlock new weapons and skins forOverall the gameplay is solid, the missions are varied and fun.After the mission you can watch and save cool replays of your missionThe game scores your performance. Leading the player to want to replay the mission to improve their scoreOverall for the price and remembering it is just a handheld game. The experience Ace Combat offers is worth the price.

If you’re looking for a military aircraft orientated game on the 3DS, that is action packed and with a friendly user interface, then this could be just the game for you! It has the right amount of action, has easy to use and fluid controls and great visuals for a 3DS title. This game makes you want to be in trouble, … in the skies! Every aircraft take down is satisfying and doing aircraft manuevers gave me a sense of exhilaration. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy is totally worth the price of admission and a must have if you own a Nintendo 3DS. The 3D effect is spot on – not exaggerated and not too subtle. A great game for a handheld. I only knocked off one star because of the lack of multi-player options.
I underestimated this game at first and now I can’t put it down! The 3DS version is action packed, Fun dogfights great unlocks mods plus custom Jet colors! 3D affects are a good touch as well in my opinion its better then the PS3 consoles version I played for the fun factor. Highly Recommended!!!

A very fun game to say the least. I did not know much about the Ace Combat series until now, and from this epic experience of beautiful terrain rendering, awesome combat moves, and the ability to costomize your aircraft, I am looking forward to purchasing other games from this franchise. This was totally one of the best christmas days I have ever had!
For those old enough to know what I’m talking about: this is the game you wished Top Gun for the NES would have been! It’s a great game that I must say I’m getting addicted to. It’s easy to control so when you get blown out of the sky, you know it’s your fault and not clunky controls. I don’t know if it’s a long game but in a week I reached level nine and I’m thoroughly enjoying the experience.
This game is a must own for your 3DS. The missions are varied and very fun. The gameplay is very similar to other Ace Combat games, but with some neat quick time events mixed in. The graphics are top notch. The exclusion of multiplayer is a bit of a let down, but for less than $15, this game is a letdown.
