Worms 3D
Worms 3D is a 3D artillery turn-base tactical game in the Worms series. It was develop by Team17. The game was the first in the series to be in 3D and also feature several new weapons. Additionally, some of the weapons operations are substantially different from previous Worms titles.
The game was announce by Team17 in 2002 as Worms 3, featuring a different logo and initially was to be publish by Activision. In 2003 the name change to Worms 3D and Activision was drop as the publisher. Sega took the license to publish the game in European territories.
Gameplay
The gameplay itself is mostly unchanged from its predecessors, with the exception of the three-dimensional view, which allows the player more freedom, and more possibilities, to complete the task at hand. Modes such as Campaign and Quick Match return from previous versions. The game also features a multiplayer feature, as well as the ability to edit and create teams. The objective of most of the matches is to eliminate the opposing forces’ worms, whereas the Campaign mode gives the player sets of specific goals which he needs to complete.
The Campaign consists of 35 small missions in which the player has to utilise their worms to complete a certain task, like destroy enemy worms, collect a certain crate, or even unique missions, such as having to detonate 16 hidden landmines in a certain time. All of the missions give awards depending on how well the player does. Gold medals usually unlock bonuses as for example maps, challenge missions, information about weapons, or voice banks.
As in Worms 3D’s predecessors, the worms continue to fight using a wide range of conventional or droll weapons, including rockets, explosives, firearms, and air strikes, whilst also traversing the island using utilities when those items are available. The entire inventory is derivative of the game’s immediate predecessors, but is noticeably simplify and lacks certain previously existed items, including digging tools such as the blowtorch.
In the Challenge missions, the player has to use a weapon/utility to collect targets that add to their timebank, which increases steadily. Getting a gold medal here unlocks maps or lock weapons.

i liked this game because of all of the violence and i would recommend it to almost any gamecube fanatic. it came at a very fair price and i would purchase video games from this shop again
Thats what this is, much like mario 64 was mario in 3d. First off, it is a little bit of a mixed bag, especially if you’re a fan of armageddon like me. The main 2 complaints i had(not dealbreakers or anything, but still, significant) were the overtweaking of the weapons and the inability to name your team.(I’m playing GCN for reference)Anyway, at the 8% I’ve unlocked so far, it has as much content as most ps2 games, and is great, great fun.The weapons that used to be so uber-destructive and easy to overshoot the entire map have taken a turn. Now it almost looks like a cartoon bazooka is spitting out the bullet in front of you. A good effort at balancing, but overbalanced if you ask me.The team thing I’m not sure on, maybe that’ll be unlockable later as well. At any rate, still the best buy you’ll get for $30 new!!
If you have ever played Worms, I suggest you play an online game called Gunbound. It has the same concept as worms, but you play online against over 2 million people! Go … play it. Truely the most addicting 2 games are Worms and Gunbound. If you have ever played worms, play gunbound. On gunbound you have an avatar and by killing other people and winning games you get gold, and you buy items for youre avatar (goggles, flags, armor, helmets) which make ur attack or defense or many other attributes higher. everyone, play gunbound.
This game is great over like 20 diffrent ways to attack you opponont and you don’t have to get bored by all the same levels since you can describe how you want your level to be for example:lot of water, big, didstance from water, time of day,if you want objects, etc.i even bought this game because it was so good you can even make your own team of worms and choose a a special to finish off other worms. this game is the first 3d worms and it was a succsess
was more then i asked for got the product almost brand new works great and the most fun i had on the GameCube since super smash bros!
This was one of my childhood favorites. It’s a fun game to play with multiple people (you only need one controler), and it’s decently challenging. All ages could enjoy this game. It came in the condition the description said it would be in, and it arrived even earlier than expected. No complaint there :)
Remember that old game where you controlled tanks and then aimed up or down and see were the missle would land?Thats what Worms is!The game featuers randomly generated courses and tons of cool (and some strange)weapons.Like the banana bomb and exploding sheep! You can also summon down a ship to fire missles at your opponents!Multiplayer fun is guranteed! One problem:in multiplayer mode everyone has to share one controller.Hope you don’t know any cheaters!

I have grown up with the Worms game. Ok, well, more like it entered my childhood one day when my cousins brought over their Dreamcast and their new game…Worms Armageddon. We played for HOURS! I was laughing so hard I had to change pants because I wet myself, and I thought I was gonna die, as I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breath. I’ve been playing often since. From Worms Armageddon, to Worms World Party, now to this. I was never able to play the origonal or Worms 2 (and any other before Armageddon, but I can’t remember any at the moment), but I sure am glad I was introduced to this franchise. When I heard of Worms 3D, I was so excited. And finally, this morning after a gaming party, I got to play for about an hour. I am hooked. After everyone packed up their games, computers, etc. I had an urge to keep playing. I finally found a working mirror for the PC Demo, and I have just got done playing a few matches. I also plan on getting the game as soon as possiable. I am rarely pleased when my favorite 2D games go 3D, but this made a good transition. A good game, great price (A $26 launch price!?), and loads of fun…what more can you ask for! So grab your 3 friends, one controller, and a TV and get ready to laugh yourself to the Worms!
WOW! If you like all the other 2d worms games well then this is a game for you..CUZ NOW ITS 3D! .. it includes the famous Banana bomb and the holy hand grenade (my two fvorites).. there are 3 different veiws so dont be scared on what ou see on the package.. you can easly spend 2 hours on this game… its really fun abd funny when you play multiplayer with friends ..(they’ll get a kick out of it)…Build your own team , name it and name each of the worms on it… give your team a special wepon to finish off a opponent… its not hard to understand the game at all … I give this game a FIVE STAR … its a bundle of fun… i think its worth it to buy it just for 30$..
