I bought this game so i could have a good wii game to play when i have friends over (most of the other games i owned were one player games). I have had it for about a week and so far i have played it with my sister (she’s 20, i’m 17) and i have played it with my parents as well (they’re in their 50s) and it has been such a blast! Every time I have played it, with different people we have had such a great time. The main games are fun, but the mini games are what makes it so great.I did try playing the game by myself once, and it wasn’t quite as fun, but it really is a perfect game to play with a group. I definitely recommend it!

Wii Party — as the name suggested, it’s a party, so you ought not to play by yourself. Invite some friends, buy more wiimotes, only then will you get the most fun out of it.The games are not as fun for a single player. The mini games are too short, and longer games like board games are not fun playing with the AI. So on this part, I disappointed. But, if you have friends and 4 wiimotes, Wii Party is for you. It’s more fun playing with your friends. There are many variety of mini games that will keep you interested and excited. However, my suggestion would have each player has his or her own wiimote. Some games requires 4 wiimotes in order for you to play, and you can’t share a wiimote. So, my point is, play with friends and 4 wiimotes.. otherwise, it might not be as fun.

This game always gets played at my mother’s house. Last Christmas everyone between the ages of 2 and 75 were playing. My cousin who has cerebral palsy played and she liked it because she has weak hands and limited arm motion but could still play the majority of the games,. The two year old was playing most of the mini games because they are cute and easy. The older folks who are usually not into video games liked it because the object of the games are clear. Most take some skill but not much as the controls are usually easy. Some of the games are just luck but they are fun anyway. The board games are fun. We’ve had this for a while now and are still unlocking various parts of the game. There is a lot to this game – lots of mini games that can take anywhere from 60 seconds to 2 minutes to play, to board games which can take an hour or more. I really like the balance boat game. Some of the games are co-operative which means you have to work together with one or more other players to win, some are competitive where it’s every man for himself. Overall it’s a cute game and it’s probably the one that gets played most at my mother’s.

We purchased this game about 14 months ago, and have played it countless times since. Our family of 4 includes a 4 and 7 year old, and both of our kids have been able to actively participate in this since we bought it, but it also appeals to adults. We love Board Game Island and the other two longer range games on Wii Party. The mini games are really fun, and each one seems to have a different person who “dominates” so with the random nature of these, even playing them over and over, everyone in our family has a chance to excel at something. The game is also great to pull out at a larger family gathering – we can trade remotes around, and allow several people to play at once. I am really hoping there will be a Wii Party 2 in a few years, because I do think after a few years we probably will be looking for some new variations of the mini-games, but this format is awesome.

The youngest step-grandkids are delighted I have this game & played it immediately. Clearly, they have played this before & consider it a lot of fun. Attention span is about an hour for one child playing & about 2 hours for 2 or 3 children playing. (Would be considerably longer amount of time but due to their young age, I limit their consecutive Wii time as a mandatory break to play outside or with toys or coloring before returning to Wii games).LOVE being able to use the Mii characters (I think every Wii game should have the option to use Mii’s). There are a lot of cute & fun games to amuse & occupy small children. Anyone can play & the older kids will play sometimes to be nice to their younger siblings/cousins. It’s really popular for young kids ages 3 – 6.

Having played Mario Party games since the 2nd iteration, I grew tired of them after number 4 and then decided to buy Mario Party 8 for the Wii in hopes it would be a great party game I could play with friends and family that showcased Wii Controls. Unfortunately, that game was a complete mess, but where Mario Party 8 went wrong, Wii Party got things right. There are plenty of minigames and most all of them are enjoyable and simple enough to pick up. Then there are the different extended games, Bingo, Around The World, etc., which have play times ranging from 15 minutes to 60 (which they conveniently list for you if you’re looking for a longer or shorter game). All of these are a blast to play with three other people and differentiate from one another enough to make them all fresh experiences, rather than the old days of Mario Party where the board games were all too similar. Another great feature about the game is that say you don’t have 4 people playing but only 2, or 3. Well the game can actually make suggestions for you for what you should play, including several 2 person specific game challenges which are quite enjoyable. If there are any complaints I could make about the game, its that it is too generic. I understand it is the “Wii blank” brand of game so it features Miis but I wish they had included some Nintendo characters. On another note, I do not recommend this game if you are going to play it by yourself, as the real fun comes from playing with friends.Overall grea.
