Personally I love the product. It runs the emulators that are installed well and has a reasonable battery life and recharge time with USB type C.It is however not exactly user friendly and uses a reasonable GUI distribution of Linux. This is more tailored towards adults looking to play old retro games on the go. I would suggest checking out the product on YouTube before purchasing. This is not nor will ever be as user friendly as a Switch.I was supersized how small the device is, but it’s a reasonable enough size to where you can see the screen and play games or watch media. The buttons are fantastic and the D-pad I found great. The two analogue sticks feel like real quality and function perfectly for PS1, but do watch out for the rubber things on end of the stick as they can get lost.. in case you lose them or just to replace them you may want to get some PSVita pads which fit well.
Stock firmware was very poor quality so I found a custom firmware online and upgraded both micro SD cards. The difference in quality is night and day when you do one simple thing.
I like the endless possibilities and community support is especially good… Looking forward to all the ways people hack this thing.
Don’t be like the people writing 1 star reviews because they couldn’t figure out how to get one of the emulators to work. While this thing does come with a lot of content preloaded and a lot of it is so easy to use a child should be able to operate it, this isn’t one of those super simplistic idiot proof pre-loaded and pre-set emulator handhelds you can find at any store nowadays. One of the things that makes the RG350 so great is the highly customizable open source nature of it. You can pick what games, emulators, and roms you want and you might have to spend some time tinkering to get everything set up exactly how you want, and some of the emulators for more obscure systems can be a bit of a hassle to get up and running, but it’s worth the time because in the end you’ll have a massive library of retro games to play right in your pocket. All with a really easy to use interface, a great screen (the review claiming this has a low quality screen is crazy), great battery life, and solid, sturdy feeling controls. My Switch and Vita are now gathering dust while I enjoy reliving just about every classic console game from the 70’s to the 90’s. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made.
Great product. Well built, fun to play. The dpad should be swapped but it’s really not bad where it is. The clear model is perfect looking in my opinion. Mine did not come with a 32GB but no big deal, they are cheap.
This little device rocks! I love it! If you grew up in the 80s and 90s it will put a smile on your face! So many games to choose from and they all play very fluid! I cant put this thing down! Nice screen good well lit and crisp. There is alot of support and extra content that can be added from there website. You can plug in a controller using one of the 2 usb inputs. Controls are perfect. If you are looking at this and wondering if its any good. It is its is awesome you wont be disappointed!
I’ve been waiting a while to get the best of these handheld emulators, with minimum to no compromises in a GBA form factor. This is it, with the pocketgo v2 being a close second. And the games preloaded were almost all legitimate, and almost all NTSC versions which was a nice surprise. Build quality is stellar with little else to be desired. Flashing the newest firmware was easy, and all of the emulators work very well with the intended ROMs and ISOs. Most everything, PS1 included, runs 60 frames without throttling the CPU.I would recommend this to anyone, and those with some tech knowledge can get a lot out of this. Beginners might need a little assistance, but as it comes there is no need to stress if you don’t want to update.
Holy moly This came with so many games. It had almost all the GameBoy advance games on it when I got it. It had so many games, play station on down. I bought an SD card off of Etsy. I have nails over 16,000 games on it. I am a kid in a candy store. This is the greatest retro machine of my lifetime. Buy it If you love retro games.
So far so good. I have to say out of all the handheld emulators I have bought this is the best one so far. There seems to be a lot of support for this system online and easy to find help. The screen is the perfect size and clear and doesn’t look cheap like the other handhelds I have purchased. I think I am going to sell my other handheld emulators and stick with this one.
I am very happy with my RG 350.I got the version with 32gb of roms already installed. It is a very nice selection of games, but one could install a better selection if they spend the time on the roms sites. The selection had most of the NES games that I wanted. It did not include Zelda, but it was very easy to download and install it. Other emulators were also fairly easy to install. There are plenty of videos on YouTube to answer almost any question one might have.Having said all of the above, this is a confusing little device if you haven’t done any research. There are many menus and several ways one can get lost or screw something up. I do not recommend this device for small children or anyone that just wants a plug and play game system. This is basically a small computer that runs retro roms, not a dedicated gaming system. It runs most games made from about 1979 to 2000 with no problem. It will not currently run N64 very well.
