This is a BLAST. It is nothing short of a boss on boss slug fest. I am a big fan of The Slayers anime, so I’m belting out DRAGON SLAVE!! every time the world blows up. That’s about every dozen hits. Veteran gamers may want more, and when my brains are fully on line so do I. However, I first played this after moving my parents into their new condo. When your brains are jello and your arms aren’t much better, a whinged chick who isn’t wearing much else zapping everything in sight deserves eight or nine stars. Yes I’m being an Un-PC pigape if retrolio posts this I guess its an ok selling point.
Tournament of Legends is not your pack in content kinda game. The game costs 30 bucks brand new, so if your looking for content in a fighting game don’t bother reading this review then. Tournament of Legends is a game that has the basic stuff you would find in old school fighters we all loved playing back on the PS1 and N64 day’s. You have your Story Mode, Vs play, Practice mode and of course your Options. Just back to the basic which is a good thing if your an old school fan of fighters. There are 10 characters to pick from, 8 to start off and 2 unlockable characters. Not alot of characters but remember keep that Old School fighter moment in the back of your head. You can play the game using your Wiimote and Nunchuck or classic. I recommend Classic for this, it makes it easier to play and understand how the game plays out. Before i get into the gameplay of it, i wanna tell you off the bat that the Graphics are not that bad at all period. The gameplay overall at first sight will confuse you but you learn fast just like any old school fighters. The gameplay reminds me of a way better version of War Gods. If you don’t know what game i speak of, google magic my friend :P. So at the beginning of each match, you will be given the chance to pick a weapon if you have any unlocked but you will start off with your Default weapon, you also have the ability to choose a magic Enchantment.Remember the fighting is not deep like Tekken or King of fighters. Now you have the Ability in the ma.
Great game!
My son loved this game! It’s perfect. Good family fun
Not for everyone, and motion controls suck, classic controller recommended. Graphics are good, music is decent, story is what you’d expect from a fighting game. Very small character roster though, and some minor problems with things such as hit detection.
The “Pro” reviewers and “hardcore” gamers seem to love hating this Wii exclusive fighter but, chances are, casual gamers are going to love this. In a lot of ways it is a “pick up and play” kind of game. Although it supports the classic control, you will probably have more fun swinging your Wiimote and Nunchuch around and bashing your opposition than just pressing buttons. The game is as good for what it is missing as for what it includes. There are no long complicated series of button presses to pull off elaborate moves and combos. The game controls are simple and fun, but the game isn’t always easy to beat, particularly if you play on higher difficulty levels. There are ten characters to choose from. You start with eight and unlock two more (provided you beat them) during the course of the game. Each character is drawn from a wide variety of mythologies. The Romans are represented by a cool gladiator named Marcus and by a stone golem creature who thinks he is the god Jupiter. Egyptian mythology gets a nod with Bast, the cat godess. The greeks get a Medusa character and the norse gets a Valkerie type. There is even a robot thrown in here. There is also an evironmentalist Minataur named Bravehoof. This game never takes itself too seriously and in contrast to most other fighting games, this one has a wild vibrant, colorful look that is pretty impressive. There is quite a bit of blood and violence but it is still probably appropriate for all but the youngest of player.
This game gets unneeded hate from game goers because they feel betrayed that it’s not an M rated gorefest anymore. They may think this is shovelware. To that I say, Hi Hater! The game is beast, simply and truly. The great minds at SEGA came up with this one and it will not be in vein. Although it is now discontinued, it will never be forgotten. Tournament of Legends will go down in history, as the beast that defined a generation. Thank you.
i love this game! I reccomend this game to the best gamers around! if you suck at gaming this game is the worst choice, buty if you are great at gaming ITS THE COOLEST GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT HAS A TON OF COOL ACTION JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT!
This game is something that no video game should be without…fun.
