The levels have a unique, hand-sketched look that gives this game a style all its own. Yoshi’s Island has six worlds, each with eight stages. There are six kinds of Bonus Challenge games to earn extra lives or items. This game features the Super FX2 chip which allows for incredibly smooth vertical, horizontal and diagonal scrolling, as well as multiple foregrounds, multiple backgrounds, scaling, rotation, zooming, tons of special effects, huge characters and even bigger bosses!

Great game, takes a while to get used to the play control, but it works very well once you get the hang of it. Tons to explore and a great game for a completionist like me.

It works. It’s fun. And I hate it for that cuz the guy I got it for as a gift is super selfish, ruined Mario for me, and later learned was super abusive.But yeah good game, just glitches every now and then.
By the time this title came out, I was well into my Sega Saturn and wanting a Playstation really badly so I completely over looked this title. I loved Super Mario World 1 and frankly I had no idea this existed until recently. I bought it and I’m really glad I did. It’s a fun game and anyone who enjoys Mario platformers should get this game for their collection.
Game did not originally turn on. After cleaning the cartridge and adjusting the game in the system we got it to work fine.
In 2017, my 6 year old nephew absolutely loves this game. Yes, they play with a SNES, and its honestly the better way to play games at a young age.Money well spent.

This is a great game for Yoshi lovers like myself. Regular Mario/Nintendo fans enjoyed this game too though. It’s a lot of fun even if baby Mario’s cries can get on your nerves. haha x)
